 The Case of Dr. L’Strange --------------------------------------- PART 5: 2 days later – back in New Orleans… Master Ty had given them the directions to Dr. L’Strange’s mansion in the French Quarter.  This is where the hex removal ceremony would take place. The Lovehammers arrived at the entrance and banged the heavy brass doorknocker three times, just like Master Ty had instructed. They were all a bit confused with the knocker plate that read "The Ceiling". They stood there for a minute or two waiting for an answer. The other band members looked a bit creeped out, but Marty was awestruck.  “Whoa. This is some kind of real estate, isn’t it? What do ya think, guys, $15 million? No, maybe $10. Yeah, $10.” They all continued to be very worried about Marty, with good reason. He hadn’t spoken ‘real estate’ in over a year. And he was reading a real estate listing sheet. The massive front door opened and they were met by Pengilly, Dr. L’Strange’s assistant, strumming a guitar.  “Welcome to Our Mansion: INXS. Please follow me”. They were escorted into a room draped in red curtains. Pengilly put down his guitar and picked up a saxophone and started to play a solemn tune.  The curtains parted…. And there he was… Dr. L’Strange!! He was playing an awesome white guitar.  He looked very mystical and powerful, , even though he was somewhat miniature in stature. He asked them all to be seated on the floor. Then he addressed Marty: “Now, Mr. Casey, you must remove your shirt and stand before me.” As Marty stepped forward, and tossed his shirt on the floor behind him, he felt himself get lightheaded again. Dr. L'Strange handed him a microphone.  Marty stood there, waiting for what would come next. Then the room went pitch black. … to be continued…

Loving the story RJ! (and of course all the lovely pics) Hi cfbj, glad you like it. It's a blast doing this. I won't be able to keep up the pace, though. My real life is suffering big time. I was totally unproductive today and I'll have to make up for it tomorrow. But, hey... I have a wacky sense of humour that I don't seems to tap into it often enough these days. So, I figured it's time for a few laughs? You can laught with me or at me - I don't care! ;D ;D ;D |

RJ - great story - we all love it !!!! And to have my favorite show up toward the end DN - i am small in stature, he is perfect  Glad you have had fun with it, we all love your humor and creativity. Trees - oh Ms Trees, where oh where are you  Calling Ms. Trees. I think the gauntlet has been thrown down, you are up. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D WHo can resist a good match like this |

The Case of Dr. L’Strange -------------------------------------------------- PART 6: The lights came back on and Dr. L’Strange was sitting on a throne with a white boa around his neck.  “Don’t worry, Mr. Casey. I am here to help you.” And with that, he made a gesture with his left hand. The others watched in amazement as Marty slowly started to spin around in a circle.  His arm suddenly stretched out and he was moving a bit faster, then faster still. The room was filled with Lovehammers music, one song morphing into another. The effect was mesmerizing. Then the spinning slowed down and Marty stood still.  He was totally covered in sweat. Then he gave a big wide grin. The hex was lifted!! The Lovehammers hugged and celebrated.  Then Pengilly played a long deep note on his saxophone to jolt them out of their high-fiving. Dr. L’Strange stood, raised his arm up high, and spoke.  “Our work is not quite done yet. Please, all of you, be seated.” Marty was annoyed. “What do you mean, we’re not done? We sure are. I’m hex free, and you’ve got the guy who did this!” He put his shirt back on and motioned for the others to head for the door.  "Now, we’ll be leaving, thank you very much - because I have a tour to restart!” “NOOOOOOOO!” said Dr. L’Strange. He picked up another guitar and wailed on it with a powerful fury.  They all froze in their tracks. “Your enemy is still among you”, said Dr. L'Strange. …to be continued… stay tuned for Part 7 – the Conclusion of The Case of Dr. L’Strange

Hi RJ - I was thinking of Thoughtful Tuesday. I went and got some of mot best pics from PB but did not post them correctly. I am such a dork.
Not sure where our good friend Trees disappeared to, She is probably getting rest to finish up the big match. Let's wait and see if she shows up... I love your story - and all the pics

The Case of Dr. L’Strange ---------------------------------------- Part 7 – the Conclusion The Lovehammers were all frozen in their tracks. Dr. L'Strange continued.  “Think back… think way back, Mr. Casey. Does the behaviour of any one of your fellow band members strike you as well, l’strange? ?” Marty pondered this, and suddenly… a sequence of events started to play out in front of his eyes…  “No way”, he thought. “It can’t be…” He turned towards Billy… Billy’s eyes were shifting in a strange way.  Dr. L’Strange spoke, “Your Mr. Sawilchuk is not who he appears to be. You know he joined the band later than all of you. Did you never question why?” Marty, Bobby and Dino all shook their heads.  Billy stood up and looked back at the other Lovehammers. His face started to ripple and morph. Suddenly, it wasn’t Billy anymore!!! It was Master Be, the witch doctor! Master Be spoke in a high-pitched voice,  “Marty, I wanted to be the leader of your band. I wanted all the power! I joined your band to take over the Swinging Lovehammers, to have you all under my spell. But you were too good – you were too popular with all the fans. When I saw how much more popular you were, I could not accept that. I summoned a voodoo doll – I put a hex on you, Casey, so that you would be out of my way. But you, you Lovehammers, you… you are all so close! Like a family! Like you were all members of the same baseball team or something. I am very angry because I see that I do not have the power to stop you, Marty Casey!!!  And with that, Master Be pulled a cape off one of the chairs and threw it over his body. He grabbed Dr. L'Strange's guitar and he started to dance by himself. Again, the room went pitch black. But this time, when the lights came back on Master Be’s creepy cartoon-like countenance had morphed into Billy again.  “Hey, guys, what happened. Where did you all go there?" Dr. L'Strange burst into a big grin.  "Okay - this was my little joke on all you guys!! Your Mr. Sawilchuk IS who you think he is. Master Ty is my hair stylist. It gets pretty lonely down here - just Pengilly and me - we need to amuse ourselves now and then.... Plus, I'm a huge LH fan!" Marty laughed a hearty laugh and put his arm around Billy.  “Hey, Sawilchuk, nice to have you back, buddy! That Master Be was a real drag. And he didn’t have your chops on the guitar. Then Marty spoke to all of his band buddies.  "Get your asses over here, Pengilly wants to take our picture for his rockstar album. Seems we aren’t the first band to deal with this voodoo thang." Pengilly opened up a photo album and showed them a dusty old picture of the last band to visit Dr. L’Strange. A band called INXS.  Marty laughed loudly as he said: “Check it out!! Seems they had quite a bit of trouble with that new lead singer… some guy name Fortune.!! They posed for an awesome picture that would become part of Pengilly's collection.  Pengilly picked his guitar and started to play. And then... Marty gave them all one final backbend for good measure!  ~~~~The End~~~~
