Here's the poem I posted way back in that Poetry thread:
He’s so young
Too young, it seems,
To be in my bed.
Lips are still soft
That harsh real world
Has yet to kill his hope
While he sleeps.
Yet waking
He looks so old
Grey and worn
We both do
Hardened faces
Against the smog and concrete
Palaces for the modern.
His bare back
So inviting
His calm, child sleep breathing
A steady beat.
But obligation
Has made this bed
Miles wide.
