If this has been brought up, please delete this thread, mods. I searched everywhere and didn't see it mentioned....
So apparently there is some major concert announcement from the LH on Monday? Does anyone have other details?
Again, my apologies if I'm beating a dead horse.

From what understand it's something going on in the Chicago area (not the Metro show in Nov).
I think there may be details on the Lh.com site.

Bummer. I knew I should have moved to Chicago years ago. Thanks, beantown!

Hi, got an email from the LH's and it basically said this (after talking about the tix for the Metro today at noon).... ...."Be ready for an even bigger concert announcement on Monday. Anyone ever hear of Q101 Twisted? Rumor has it that it is at Aragon Ballroom this year in Chicago on Dec 16th. Rumor also has it there will be a presale for the LH tickets next Tues"...... Went on to say "We know many of you are from out of town, we keep getting requests for people to see Lovehammers in Chicago and make a vacation of the show etc....that is why you are all included in these"...... Rock, LH Well, I'm happy they are keeping so busy, but I'm selfish and want to see them closer to my house! lol Guess we'll have to keep on waiting to see if they are indeed opening for the INXS tour....

For those of you who have been to the Q101 Twisted concerts in the past, what are they like? Typically how many bands play?
Hmmmm....I wonder why Lh haven't scheduled a larger venue just for themselves?

OK, ummm not all fans are in Chicago. I get the impression Marty thought all the votes came from Chicago on Rock Star. He has mentioned on at least one or two times about all The Chicago votes (in reference to him being at the top in votes). I hate to break the news but there were alot of us in many areas voting our fingers to the bone. I guess I just am feeling like we have been forgotten. It may be a really good thing to include us in your plans/concerts. Also during interviews, mention all the fans voting from all over the world and not just Chicago. By the way, Congrats Chicago on the White Sox !!

Hey sweetangel... Don't be so sad! I have complete faith that the LH are looking to take things bigger and do shows outside of Chicago eventually...with or without INXS. I get the impression he is just trying to show his appreciation for the hometown fans first...with the Metro concert and the Q101 Twisted event. And I do think he knows he has fans all over the world that supported him.... Loyalty is very important to him...look how long he has been with his band? and how much he talks about missing family/friends in Chicago? I too want to know when he will be heading to the New England area....I gotta be patient and wait for the word. As badly as I want to see him live...I can not be travelling to Chicago to do it... The distance will have to continue to be murder on my mind....

I didn't want to sound whiny earlier, because I do think it's great that the LH are showing such appreciation to their hometown. But I'm just as impatient as the rest of you. If I could go to Chicago, I totally would.
That's weird about your email, twog8. Mine said this, "PS. Be ready for an even bigger concert announcement on Monday. Anyone ever hear of Q101 Twisted?" I wonder why I didn't get the rest of the info?

Lh have been in Chicago for FIFTEEN years and have built up a huge fan base here. They are going to do whatever they can for the locals before they tour the world. Just wait. You'll get them soon enough!!! Oh, and during a twisted, about 6-8 bands play... go to www.q101.com

A couple of things:
1. Why the @#%& am I NOT getting the e-mails? I registered for the Lh mailing list 2 months ago. I've even placed 3 orders from them. I will register once again.
2. Chicago fans being recognized for voting. Keeo in mind Marty has been talking to local Chicago stations. He's going to send "thank-yous" to their listeners. He probably has no clue that we all find out about his radio appearances ahead of time & listen on-line. Or get the transcripts/recordings afterwards.
I'm bummed that I won't get an opportunity to see this new show they will be announcing, but I'm in NO position to complain. I'm going to the Metro Show in November and consider myself lucky. They won't be playing at intimate venue like this anymore.
**I also want them to play in New England. We have some great venues here in Boston.

Hey guys...not sure what is up with the LH email announcements...this is the first one I got from them and I registered a couple of months ago as well. I think they are just really busy. I put in an order for CD's via their website and am still waiting. Beantown....lucky you getting to see them in Chicago! Enjoy! Give a shout to them from all us NE fans! Wish I had been able to go, but too close to Thanksgiving for me...really hoping they come to Boston!

I had to respond, because I thought I was the only one who signed up twice for the lovehammers e-mail list and have never received an e-mail from them... Guess they are crazy busy and are behind... I, too, will try again. Whoever the Lovehammers do go on tour with, I hope it is a major tour that will give fans all over the world a chance to see the show... and that means a definite stop or two in the New England area! Those of us that live in Chicago are very pleased to be getting another show but we are equally hoping that the rest of the country/world is going to have the opportunity to experience the Lovehammers also. Most of the press for Marty and the LH has been local. While a huge block of support did come from Chicago for Marty, I am sure he knows that he's gotten support worldwide as well. I think right now, he's just trying to "give back" to the people that have been in his corner for all these years. I'm sure we will hear something very soon about the Lovehammers future plans to tour and everyone will be pleased.

I guess I'm going to have to resign myself to not seeing Marty next month. I tried all afternoon to get those tickets, and this new party sure does sound fun, but I don't think I can make that date. He's a great performer and I'm sure he'll be everywhere soon enough, patience is a virtue...Just wish I had some of that .....virtue. Have fun to everyone that gets the good luck to go and fun for everyone here on this message board...Later Nancy

It is nice to "give back" to local fans, but it may be a good idea to welcome in the new fans also. It wasnt just Chicago that kept him at the top. But, for all I know, maybe Marty just wants to stay popular in Chicago only. Just a thought.

I think he can easily schedule the appearances in Chicago, but is probably waiting until he has his management and legal matters signed, sealed, and delivered before booking any other shows. The fact that he is spending some time doing that is proof of his business background which would tell him to study and research options before jumping in cold turkey and making some mistakes.
I live in Texas, where there are no dates set, but will definitely buy tickets the first day I find them for a show here. I think he does appreciate everyone, and has used the word global in his thanks, but he was away from his family and friends for a long time and is reconnecting with them. I like his loyalty, and think it will extend to all of us in due time.

They have to start somewhere and why not thier home town. Sure, would love to see them out here in AZ, but I can patiently wait impatiently. If they don't come here, I'll make a vacation out of it and go somewhere they are playing. (Like Vegas.)
