Hi Rockfan...I used to live in Charlotte-cool place! I've been to the venue that INXS/Lovehammers are coming to...VERY small, cozy theater Hey Brennak I love it here. I was born and raised in Atlanta but I like it here better. Anyways, I've never been to Ovens Auditorium. Did not know if orchestra section would be good or mezzanine (sp). Any thoughts on where would be a good area? The orchestra section is the one closest to the stage. The venue's website should have a seating chart so you can see where the best seats are. Ticketmaster should also have one when they add the new dates, which I don't think they have done yet!

Hey Rockfan hopefully(I'll die if I don't get tickets!) I'll be at the Charlotte one too. I thought I read somewhere that it only seats 2500 people. So I'm hoping I get the password for the pre-sale before then. See ya there!!!! : ) Hey Redheadinnc: Ovens Auditorium only holds about 2500. I am not a INXS Fan club member so I can't do the presell thing. I will just do it at Ticketmaster.com and hope for the best. Hope to see u there.

I haven't used TicketMaster for awhile now and am wondering if anyone thinks there's any advantage to buying the tickets at an actual retail location or by phone over buying them on the internet?
Thanks

I've never had success trying to get through on the phone and I've usually been able to get tickets on the internet. I've never went to the actual retail location so I can't comment on that one.

I hope you all get a chance to see them. I would check on whether the venues have pre-sales as well. Now, for Chicago, I took a chance and tried ticketmaster on the day of the show and was logged in and registered to make it as quick as possible and stillllllll got shut out on seats. They sold out too quickly and the one time I had seats I lost them after the 2 minutes they give you to complete the transaction had expired. And that was at 12 mins. after the sales opened and they were in the very back left of the theatre. But thankfully, an awesome fan here offered me her extra set of tickets. (thank you!)
So some advice, if you are really serious about getting tickets to one of the smaller venues, be sure to check out all the options.

I believe that Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, FL has membership packages that offer presale tickets as a benefit to members.

I checked the venue here in Charlotte and they will not be selling tickets on Saturday morning at their ticket office. I know there are other retail outlets that sell them but I am just hoping to get it done on the internet. That is why I went ahead and set up my ticketmaster account to save some time. I refuse to join the INXS Fan Club.

I have never been to this venue so I'm not sure what to expect. Have you been there? Check out their website. www.rutheckerdhall.com/ REH seats 2,180. It is interesting that on the ticket calendar, they have an orchestra listed and not the INXS/LH show. But I have heard that the INXS presale (11/9) will be a day before the REH membership presale which is a day before general public sale. Contact the venue for details. As for selling out, who knows. There are still some small venues (Denver) that have not sold out. One could still get reasonably good tickets days afterwards. If you get really desperate, I noticed Ebay even had great tickets on sale BEFORE the event went on sale. Honest. And I am not a ticket broker.

Something else to keep in mind...typically Ticketmaster will release tickets just before or on the day of concerts. These can often be for primo seats! Not ideal for those that want their tickets right away, but a good option to keep in mind if tix are sold out initially without having to pay megabucks to evil brokers.

Has anyone noticed that the Boca Raton and Jacksonville dates are screwy? The two pages that list tour dates have these two messed up.

I just saw that. Which one do you go by? I hope the INXS website people get it straight and repost the right dates.

Feb 21 NEW DATE Charlotte, NC - Ovens Auditorium I'm so glad that they are making it to Charlotte, NC! The Ovens is a smaller intimate setting, holds about 2600, but I like intimacy.

XSivelyHammered, I've read a lot of your posts and have been meaning to ask you -- what is written on the note Marty is holding in your avatar? I can't read it on my 14" laptop screen.

The presale is supposed to start tomorrow as well.

So I went to check out where the tickets where and it was mid way back on row W so I panicked! My husband is going to kill me! I got our tickets though. Hee Hee! Merry Christmas, Anniversary, Mothers Day and Birthday to me.
