Hi I have a question about the wristbands. Are they latex free ? I have seen these type of wristbands out everywhere but I've never known what any of them are made out of, and it never mattered because I never liked any I saw, UNTIL THIS ONE! LOL I am a big fan and I love the color/design, but I'm concerned because I am really allergic to latex. So I wanted to ask before ordering one. I *really* hope they aren't!

I honestly have no idea. They're "silicone." Is that latex??

Silicone is not latex. Silicone is what is commonly used for many items to replace latex, due to how common latex allergy is becoming. But silicone is generally more expensive than latex (but more durable, less allergic, etc etc.) Another nice plus about silicone is it is totally odorless (unless a manufacturer adds an odor, which is a bad idea since typically allergic/sensitive individuals choose silicone products).
If the wristbands are made entirely of silicone then that is great.
A lot of people have become allergic to latex due to it's high use. Health care uses, latex condom use, and just a wide array of other products contain latex.
Personally I developed a latex allergy after working as a lab analyst for an environmental company. I wore latex gloves for about 12 hrs a day while there. It started out as just a mild reaction (itching with contact), but now latex triggers my asthma attacks. So..... I have to be much more careful to avoid it.
Thanks for the quick answer. If the manufacturer says it is silicone then I shouldn't have any problems with it!

Thanks gracegirl377 for the valuable information on this subject. No doubt there will be more queries about whether the wristbands are made of Latex or Silicone material. I get allergies from the change of seasons, plugged up sinuses so it is good to know how other kinds of allergies could develop.
