For those of you not on their mailing list:
Hammerheads,
Wow, what an interesting few months! Well, as many of you know, we have been spending most of our time in LA choosing a manager, signing with a label, choosing an attorney, and finally finishing an album.
We have chosen McGhee Entertainment for our management. We feel most comfortable with them, and think they "get" what we are trying to do. Between the two of them, Doc and Scott McGhee have managed just about every successful rock band in our lifetimes - so why not add Lovehammers to that list!?!?!?!?
We are pumped to say that Epic will be putting out our album. The release date is January 24, BUT you can pre-order it on www.lovehammers.com. It is currently 25% off for the Holidays, so get it as a stocking stuffer. You won't get it in time for the Holidays, but you can always print the cover or receipt - etc. We are going to try to sign as many pre-orders as possible, but keep in mind that there will be a cutoff so order yours ASAP!
The name of the album is simply Marty Casey & Lovehammers - we have already gotten grief about the name, but please keep in mind that we are still the same Lovehammers that you have all followed over the years and discovered over the last few months - the band is the same, the music is the same, the dynamic is the same, the only difference is that the name on this album has 2 added words.
Anyway, the album is made of some oldies as well as unreleased material that you probably heard from various websites, etc, and a new song that Marty wrote right when the show ended. The idea for this album is to give people a snapshot of where we have been in the last few years, and introduce them to this Chicago rock secret that is Lovehammers - it rocks, it is raw, but at the same time it will help you get laid and even make you cry. Hopefully this is an album that everyone - no matter what age, sex, ethnic background, whatever will enjoy - there should be something for everyone in there.
Since this is so last minute, and this album has rushed to get out in time for the tour, we need EVERYONE'S support. We need each one of you to tell 10 people about this band called Lovehammers or MC & Lovehammers, and direct them to the website to order a CD, or take them to a store on Jan 24 to buy a CD. We can't make this happen without all of you - you have supported us all these years, and now it is time for us to take over the world TOGETHER!!!!!!
Ok my little kiddies, it is time for us to start rehearsing for the tour. We love you all and thank you for the unconditional support you have and continue to show us. Stay tuned for a kick ass new website, and a lot more fun shenanigans - LH style!
ROCK!!!
