..but from past experience, and i hope im wrong, when you see someone you like as a backup act.You see a very short set,and most of the audience isnt paying any attention.I want to see an hour and half Marty show, plus I dont think I could sit thru 90 minutes of JD.Il pop in live baby live or rock the rockies.

Afraid you will have to settle for a shorter set, but I don't think (because of Rockstar) the audience will not be paying attention. Marty is too well known now. I even think all of JD's fans will want to watch and see the true Marty/Lovehammer act.

The set will be shorter but I don't think you have to worry about the audience paying attention. And I'd bet that, unlike for most concerts, the hall will be full by the time he comes on stage.
There's no way to find this out, but I'd love to know the percentage of people who bought tickets just because he's on the bill (I'm certainly one of them!).

I think it depends on how the early shows go, but I think Marty will get 40-50 minutes as an opener.

He's the only reason I bought tickets... Me too. If it weren't for Marty and LH, the INXS tour wouldn't even be on my radar screen.

Yeah it sucks. Unless they are co-headlining meaning each act gets a full set. Like Billy Joel/Elton John Did a few years back. I wish they would do it that way here.

I will take what I can get even if its just 5 minutes of Marty. I also bought the tickets just to see him and the Lovehammers. I don't think the audience will let him go after a short time. Will be seeing him at Masonic in Detroit and we are a rockin town.

Hi from Canada. I got tickets at the Masonic in Detroit also. Myself and three co-workers are going. We are all Marty fans and the main reason we are going. I ordered them from the pre-sale . It was really nerve-racking. I have never ordered tickets this way .You only had so much time to accept the tickets not really knowing the floor plan and afraid someone else would scoop them up I took them. Found out after that they are awesome seats. Main floor. I can't wait.

I am realistic I will be getting less Marty and more JD when the show rolls into Boston.... But a short concert from the Lovehammers will be worth it....and I can tolerate JD enough to sit through the INXS part of the concert....so no walking out for me.... I am so grateful INXS did the show....otherwise we may well not have been introduced to Marty...and to his music with the Lovehammers...so I will stay for the full show to show my respect...and to say thanks for bringing Marty on tour with them!! From what I have read...Marty is also grateful and respectful of INXS for this opportunity...so I will follow that line of thinking too.... But....once they start touring separately....my loyalty will be with the Lovehammers....no contest!!

I agree myohmy. I'm not a JD hater, so I'll stay for the INXS part of the show. I'm not a huge concert-goer, so I wouldn't be going if the LH weren't opening, but I'm sure I'll enjoy the whole show.
Plus, I had so much fun watching the whole RS show that I am dying to see the finished product.

Yeah I am not a JD hater either and knew that he would win. I looked at the show through INXS's eyes....
I think it works out for the best. RS INXS will just boost Marty and the LH (dont forget about the other guys!) into superstardom!! The tour wont help matters any with Marty and the LH blowing away INXS night after night!!!

I think Marty will have a big crowd for his set, however long it is. It's not like when Keane was opening for U2 in MSG and hardly anyone was there for them. It worked for me since I got to go down to the risers by the stage and see Keane really well for the 45 minutes they played. I don't think the majority of the crowd is going to come an hour and a half late just to see INXS.

This is one of the reasons why I chose not to go to the concert. I dont want to drive an hour and a half each way for a set that is 45 minutes. I dont care to see INXS. I will wait to see if the Lovehammers headline in the future.

Yeah, I didn't bother getting there early for Keane. Nobody bought tickets to U2 to see Keane; I got my tickets so far in advance I had no idea who would be opening for them and didn't care.
But Marty is another story. I'm really going just to see him and the LH; I'll stick around for JD "Bunny" Fortune simply because my seats are very close to the stage.
(The "Bunny" label refers to a very funny post over at Leperpop, when they were complaining about how much JD likes to hop up and down ... theysaid he was "bunnying" all over the stage, which made me laugh out loud. Later they changed it to "pogo dance", which is also pretty funny.)

I'm looking foward to the new INXS. Just shoot me, I love the new song Pretty Vegas. But then whether I would have bought tickets for their show without Marty, I doubt it. But since I'm going two nights in a row, I'll get and hour and a half of Marty. YEAH!!! And if we all make enough noise, we might even get an encore from the Lovehammers!! I'm certain that over half of the people will be there for the Lovehammers or maybe both. I think the second night though, I will slip out after the Lovehammers perform and go gamble or something.

:)Well...me & my 32 yr old Daughter are STILL hoping & PRAYING for 2 Tickets to the Concert at the Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln City. Oregon ( 20-30 min drive from where we live ) There is a gal in Albany who might have 2 Tickets for sale...my Daughter is the Accountant for the Siletz Indians who own the casino. They give-away 200 Tickets front row seats to Tribal Members...so she has afew Members of the Tribe trying to get her 2 Tickets...my youngest Daughter's Husband is the Head Chef in the Rougue Room at the Casino so is also trying to find us 2 Tickets & then there is always eBay "Maybe" We will surely :'(if we don't get to go because we are going to see "Marty" ...we are looking forward to seeing The Lovehammers & also INXS "BUT" for some reason I just can't stand JD so am NOT looking forward to seeing him whatsoever. There is something so Pure & Spiritual about Marty. And...since the Casino's Concert Room ( actually the room they play their "Bingo" in ) only holds 1,300 people so every seat is considered a good seat. Drawbacks tho: the are no longer ANY Cameras whatsoever allowed in the Casino "Whatsoever" ???and if you are caught with one...they take you to the Security Office where they lecture you & Confiscate the Camera until you are ready to leave the Casino..."If" you are caught w/ a camera & taking a picture...they will TAKE your Camera which you do NOT get back until the following day & you get "Escorted" OUT of the Casino by LOTS of Security. At Concerts people are NOT allowed close to the Stage & people that try & do so more than once get Kicked out of the Casino. BUT...we would still like to beable to go see Marty
