I also tried to get tickets to the Chicago Theater this morning and the best available seats I could get was on the upper level balcony off to the side!! I went ahead and grudgingly got the 4 seats. The theater is small so I think it will be ok. I was just disappointed that the INXS fan club doesn't really buy you anything....I was there at 9:59 am and only the $42.50 tickets were available. And i tried searching many times, first tried for the expensive tickets, none ever showed. Hmm, it has been one hour since the pre-sale started and there are still tickets to be had. I wonder if a lot of people are deciding to just go to the box office instead.

I just talked to The Chicago Theatre and their Insider presale is tomorrow! Hopefully the $75 is worth it!

At least you got four! I only got two and I didn't want to lose those, so I grabbed them. Then I went back in to try to get two more, and it said my password was invalid. Crud.

I was worried about getting tickets in Chicago too. I got mezzanine level near the middle so I am happy. Its a small venue. We should be able to see Marty really well.

I just purchased an extra set of INXS tickets for February 2nd at The Midland Theatre in Kansas City on accident. Would anyone be interested in, or know of anyone, who would be interested in purchasing them from me? They are for Section LC ORC, Row I. I will sell them at cost $49.50 per ticket, plus the $9.15 charge per ticket that Ticketmaster is charging me.

I was so disappointed with this pre-sale and feel it was so not worth the money. I had figured the Chicago tickets would be hard to come by but to have balcony seats near the back come up as best available at 10 a.m. was riduculous. Nothing ever came up for the best priced seats as I continued trying. After 20 minutes, I did get 4th row center balcony which was better than anything that came up previously so I went with those. Also, for the fan that has the box balcony seats - I saw a concert from those seats years ago, and I felt they were really good seats - definitely better than being at the back of the main stage.

Really? Thanks Cindy, that makes me feel better. Maybe after I get some sleep I won't be so cranky about this!
(But I still think the membership was a total waste.)

Mezzanine box is closer than the balcony so I guess I got lucky here in Chicago. I know a lot of people are disappointed with their seats, but wouldn't you be much more disappointed if you wanted until the general sale and didn't get any?? Chicago Theatre only seats about 3,000 or 3,500 people. Those would go REALLY fast especially if people can purchase up to 8.

I am really happy with the tickets I got. I wanted front balcony seats in the center. That's what I got. The very front balcony row 3 in the center at the Orpheum theatre. I didn't want to sit up front on the floor. I had back surgery just 5 months ago and getting knocked around and pushed around by the girls up front would not be good for me I don't think. So I got the best seats for me. The Orpheum only holds 2600 so those seats are pretty close. That is what I said I wanted when I looked at the seating chart and that is what came up. Yeaaahhh!!

Man, I am SUPER PISSED. I kept refreshing my screen so I could get the tickets ASAP. Once they came available for LA, I clicked the link, copied my password and linked to Ticketmaster. Then it tells me "Sorry, we do not recognize the passcode". So I had to rush into my hotmail inbox to get it again....but it turned out to be the same one I had copied and pasted originally!!! So now I'm stuck with really shit seats because the process took forever. Bloody damn hell.

Yikes!!
I think it all comes down to the city you are trying to get tickets for. As expected, the Chicago sale was going to be a nigtmare. Hometown Boys.

Chanvre- The same thing happened to me! My code would not work and I was thinking that I was not going to be able to get any tickets at all. I ended up with row M to the right side. I am happy enough with the tickets as I will be on a plane when the general sale happens on Saturday. Ugh! I am still a little shaky.

By the way, Did anyone who got tickets for the Seattle show do better than row M? I figured it was because of the whole password mix up but re reading posts has me wondering... Just curious. I am still psyched that I am going! Lovehammers live and in person on the west coast! (INXS who?)

I wonder what the hell happened, Smitten? I sent an email complaint..more of an FYI, actually. And well, I needed to vent!
I'm going to try for the sale on Saturday and hope for the best!

To Smitten, I can't remember what it was going to give me on the floor of the Paramount in Seattle, but I wasn't thrilled. So...I jumped to the balcony and got row A section 14. I think those are pretty good seats, but it's been a while since I sat in that section. In fact it was for a Violent Femmes show a lifetime ago. Row M is good though. I have been in that range for a lot of events and it's been nice. I'm really short though so I thought I might have a better chance of seeing something from above.
But now that I have gotten tix with an INXS membership I will probably be sitting in an area where my neighbors won't appreciate my husband's F**k You/Lovehammers shirt. Oops. We mean no disrespect to INXS and will stay for the whole show. My husband just loves his lovehammers shirt.
Any other Seattle ticket buyers here? Where will you be?

Viva Las Vegas, here we come!
Would love to know who's going where/when!! I am going to the Vegas show (Lovehammers PLEASE come out after the show for drinks & some gamblin'!)
and I'm going to the L.A. show at Gibson (formerly Universal) Ampitheatre. Both shows with the INXS password got me 'ok' tickets - certainly not front row as I would have loved...but I will find my way up front no doubt!!
How was everyone else's experience with the INXS presale???
Cheers everyone, see ya on the road!
~Jodie
