Oh GOSH!! I haven't had a chance to log on in a couple of days!! Thanks for all the great info, I had no idea LH was possibly NOT going to tour with INXS - good to know! RayneDove - thanks for the tip! let me know what you do b/c now I'm not sure if I want to get tix if there's a chance MC won't be here! but then again, if he does open, and I don't have tix, I'll shoot myself! QE is a small venue, is this the case for all the place they are playing? QE is not the best place for a rock concert in my opinion. Brightside - what did you mean about the attitude of some JD fans? what's going on? Are JD fans saying mean things about MC? I think LH would be better off opening for someone more their style, someone who will play in the huge venues. This is so stressful, I don't know what to do now!  |

I went back and listened to the interview with Kathy on 3Oct and Marty definitely said they were opening with INXS in January. His next interview with Cara he said they were going on tour in 3 weeks and it would be announced soon. Maybe Lovehammers are doing a short tour in Nov/Dec and then joining INXS in January.

It got quite ugly after the interview where Marty said he and Jordis contributed to PV, which I believe they did and I don't think he is making a big deal about it at all. The blogs of both of them back it up, but on the "other" board, some people wanted to petition to have the LH taken off the tour, and were saying they wouldn't come in until after LH played. It seems better over there now, but I don't know if it really is, or if the threads are being deleted. If Marty and the LH do open for INXS, I think J. D. needs to make a statement to deflect the anger. I wouldn't want Marty to get any angry responses, and I fear that people hearing that many of his fans plan on leaving as soon as he is done won't help. I wish we could just all be positive about whatever happens and support Marty's decisions with courtesy to all of the artists there.

The more I think about this, the more I am starting to feel that it's better if these two bands don't tour together. Their styles of music are totally different (INXS and JD are pop, Marty is solid rock), and there are clearly two distinct fan bases at work here. I wish INXS well, but don't like JD and never will. Unless the way he was portrayed on the show is totally off base, he seems self-centered and moody, and I can see this whole thing getting really ugly, if not between the performers, then between the fans. The competition is over, and Marty and the Lovehammers have a great career ahead of them. There's no reason for Marty to tour as the runnerup. Maybe it's time to move on.

I would buy tickets to INXS ONLY if Marty & LH were opening. Then leave, not to make a point or to be rude but because the new INXS doesn't appeal to me one whit.
Listening to these interviews gives me the idea that nothing is set in stone about the INXS tour. Sounds like the boys are getting other offers so I will hang onto my money until I know for certain. I'd much rather see them headlining or opening for another band.
I refuse to pay to join the INXS fanclub just to get early shot at tickets. I've heard that fanclubs don't necessarily get the better seats anyhow.

I think if INXS and LH tour together, one wrong word or gesture at the concert and there would be some MAJOR ass kicking going on everywhere.  |

Hi everyone-well I wish I had read all these posts before I paid the $24.95 for the INXS fan club in hopes of getting presale tix to see the LHs open the tour...My thinking was that I would like to go to the show at Borgata in Atlantic City and the theater is pretty small and would sell out fast..I wasn't thinking so much about what kind of seats but just the fact that they offer pre-sale..If anyone else did this too and it turns out the LHs don't tour with INXS remember to cancel your INXS membership- the fine print said it will automatically be deducted from your credit card each year if you don't cancel...Even my 15 year old son doesn't really care about going(although he likes the song Pretty Vegas alot more than I do)unless Marty and the LHs open... guess we gotta just sit tight and wait and see....

" God I hope so this suspense is wreaking havoc on my stomach lining, but it did give me hope. I too bought the $24.95 fan club membership on INXS web, just to have access to fan club pre sale. Marty baby please make up your mind!!!!!!!! Love you  |

Just went to check out "INXS.com" and signed into the "Members Only" area. Well, well, well. There's actually something new. Before, your three options were: Account Information, Purchase History and Cancel My Account. Now, there's a 4th option: "My Tickets". I clicked on it, and it said, "There are no ticket transactions associated with your account". This says to me... we'll be able to order tickets directly through INXS.com. Would be nice if they provided details....soon!  |

I went over there last night to pick up on the mood, and they are still angry and posts are being deleted, so it doesn't sound good. No matter what comes up as a reason to just drop the PV co-author debate, some of them seem determined to keep it going so they can bash. That is a sad way to live, but it seems to make them happy. |

I just had a horrible thought. What if all the JD fans started booing the LH? I'm really hoping for an amazing concert-going experience...I'm crossing my fingers that the drama will drop before January.

More important, who received the most votes the week before the finals when Susie was eliminated (remember Susie, Mig and JD were in the bottom 3) Surely you don't think all of Marty's votes came from people who participate on the boards, do you? You realize we who do are a minority.
