Aragon Show

Hi! I am new to this board!

I have tickets to the Aragon show and am really excited! We are driving down from Wisconsin, but I lived in Chicago for many years and am really excited to be coming back. Anyway just wondering if there was some aftershow party planned or something--we would love to meet the band and have our own awesome pics to post from that show!

Any ideas?

A while back the LH said on their board that they would do a meet & greet, but haven't heard anything new in weeks. I am also going & will be looking around for them!

I am hoping I can still go to this because I got in a car accident on the highway yesterday around noon. I spent all day at the hospital and I dislocated my shoulder and have a concussion. I also got a couple of small cuts on my face and hands (broken glass) and then my legs (esp my left one) got cuts and scrapes. My car is totaled. It was a 2004 Toyota Camry. I have to go lay down now because I am in a lot of pain.

I have whiplash really bad and cannot turn my head at all.

The whole accident was like in slow motion and very scary.

Also the accident was not my fault, some old lady skidded on black ice and swerved sideways (on the passenger side, luckily or the Highway Patrol said I might not be alive. ) and she slammed into me sideways and I was pushed into a ditch. It was my first ambulance ride and I pray my last. All I kept babbling on about in the ambulance was my CD's were still in my car.

I might not be able to make it to the Aragon show, because I have a lot to do. I will probably miss all next week from work. And I dont have vacation time until June 2006.

I had a nasty slip and fall just 2 days ago and now this. So imagine the pain I am feeling. They did give me morphine.

So my 2004 Red Toyota Camry is totaled.

So sorry I have been gone for over a day. I will know more on the trip to Chi-Town by Tuesday. I have two doctor appts on Monday and then other appts related to the accident all next week.

I asked for the 15 and 16th of Dec. off yesterday and my work almost said no and then said yes.

but i might have to pay stuff out of my own pocket and get re-imbursed later by the insurance company, if that is the case, then that means no Chi-Town this time. Also my injuries might take weeks and maybe months to heal totally. I hope that is not the case and hope I am not scarred from the cu

Oh no. I for one am glad the woman didn't kill you and the pain you must have you poor thing!! Please Rockbeast get a good lawyer and let them look after this! Have no idea what it is like, over in the States, but here in Canada this is the best route to take! And please remember no alcohol with your medication , remember that saying no pain no gain is a myth

You have had one tough week..you poor thing....take it one day at a time..and I hope you make a full & speedy recovery....I hope you can still get to the Aragon show...but...take care of yourself first and foremost!

I had flashbacks to a serious car accident I was in as I read what happened to you....and understand what you are going thru...it is a very scary experience....

get lots of rest...and again, I am sorry this had to happen to you...

RB, it sounds really bad, but even at the lowest points in your recuperation (and during hassles with auto-insurance reimbursements and health-insurance red tape), I hope you'll be able to refocus on the fact that it could have been much worse. Put it this way: I'm very glad you're around to post.

Que sera sera on Aragon ... if you can make it there, great, and if not, then (disappointment aside) there will be a Lovehammers show in your future that's just as good ... or better!

I hope the ugly memories of the accident fade fast for you. Please keep us posted on your progress. And, keep that chin up

RB!! I am so glad that you are o.k....hurt and in pain but o.k. Take care of yourself and do what you have to to recup quickly. Sorry about your car. Keep us posted after your appts, please!

rockbeast, I really hate to hear that.

I've been in two accidents (in my case people keep running red lights and hitting me in the drivers side) and both took 2 or 3 months to be without pain.

Honestly, there is no way you are going to be able to stand being in a General Admission show. The first time someone even slightly pushes against you, you will not be able to take it and honestly you could be hurt worse. I think you need to just heal and catch one of the INXS/LH shows. I know it won't be the same, but seriously take time off to heal.

Hello rockbeast...

I was in an accident in 1994. A semi-truck had rear ended my little car(Chevy Chevette)... thank goodness the speed limit was only 35. I only had whiplash and two jammed fingers. I had many headaches days after... probably from the whiplash and from worrying too much about the whole mess. In time everything had worked out for me. It took me awhile just to get comfortable in driving again... without becoming a nervous wreck at doing it. That too will pass in time. So try and hldyrchnp rockbeast.

Rockbeast, I am so sorry to hear about your accident. How scary! I'm glad you weren't more seriously hurt than you are and I will keep you in my thoughts for a quick recovery. That really is disappointing about the Aragon show. I know how much you were looking forward to it (and I was kinda hoping to meet you!)

If you do end up missing the show, I promise to share any stories you want to hear and any pictures that I manage to smuggle!

Thanks guys who replied about my accident. I am very very very very bummed about it all but the nice cards and emails and pms and flowers that I have been given and sent are really nice. I am a little better, but am still having issues with my shoulder and back. It sucks.

One good thing to mention is that someone from the LH forums that I did something for is getting me a copy of Momm or L'Strange signed and maybe even a T-shirt from the Aragon show tomorrow.
