Moderators, I hope that I'm on the right topic/forum/board here to post thread. If not, I apologize. Hello to anyone or everyone, I had never joined any kind of club membership to get pre-sale ticket(s) to any concerts that I had attended in the past years. So... I was wondering if anyone knows how good the INXS club membership pre-sale tickets are? Can people get a ticket(s) for the front row or close to the front row spots? How about backstage passes? Does the INXS membership club mention anything about backstage passes? Thanks a bunch!

There doesn't seem to be any consistency regarding fan clubs. Prince has one; when he played Avery Fisher a couple of years ago (which is the NYC venue that INXS is supposed to be playing) his fans got the very best seats in the front of the orchestra. But I think his fan club is more expensive than INXS's and there are other percs.
U2's fans didn't necessarily get better seats; they just got first crack at a range of seats before the sale was opened up the general public. U2 also ran into a problem because even though they limited the number of seats you could buy with your membership, scalpers signed in under several different IDs and bought up a lot of the tickets, which wound up on eBay at very inflated prices. U2 issued an apology and gave their fans who missed out the first time, another chance to buy seats for other shows later in the tour.
The bottom line is that you can assume you will get a chance to buy tickets early but you can't assume anything else.
And I seriously doubt you will get backstage passes.

I just joined the fanclub and did the 24.95 membership. It does say there are contests for VIP passes and "meet and greets"
As far as fan presales go, trust me, the ticket brokers will have the password as well. Just be ready when the tickets go on sell. Also, forget about trying to get the "perfect" seats.....unfortunately, ticketmaster doesn't let you look at all the available seats for sell online. You would have to go to a ticketmaster office to do this. Also, if this tour is as huge as I think it will be, I doubt you would have time to hem and haw around trying to decide what seats you wanted. Recently in Omaha, U2's concert sold out in 14 minutes, Paul McCartney sold out in 12 minutes, and the Rolling Stones sold out in 25 minutes.......and this is for a venue that holds 16,000 people.

Well, I am trying to find out how much tickets will be for the Chicago tour. I imagine there will be high and low priced tickets, but I have no clue. Does anyone have any ideas at the price? Thanks.

Hey Kellysgirl-
Have you received the promised email for info on presales? I have not and I can't get on the chat board over on the web site. I am nervous about tickets. I must see the Lovehammers!

The Boston & Mohegan Sun aren't there either. Mohegan Sun goes thru Ticketmaster....but the Wang Center goes thru telecharge dot com.... I have been soooo trying to contact both venues...to see if those shows are confirmed....but no luck yet... If I do get info... I will share!

smitten, I don't know. I think you need to check back on INXS website early 12OCT and see if there is any more info. I checked ticketmaster just a few moments ago and only 7 venues are listed right now. Also, some list presale dates, others don't. I wouldn't wait for an email with the password....I would log in and see if they have it posted somewhere early Wed morning. Also, don't know if there will be a different password for each venue. Maybe our great moderators can find out since they are probably "in the know" more than we are.

Thanks for responding kellysgirl. I checked the site again today and there is a little more info and you may be right that there will be the password on the day. I sent them an email with questions and the response was, it may take up to three days to respond! I hope to find out something before then.

I am confused by the so called pre-sale promo- INXS website says its presale for the Borgata show(Feb 11th) is Wed at 10 am which also happens to be the time Ticketmaster pre-sale is- does this mean I get the tickets at Ticketmaster instead of through the website even though I purchased the membership? strange how some of the venues have such different arrangements...I am going to see Dennis Miller tomorrow at Mohegan so I am gonna check at the box office there for the INXS date...

FOUND THE FOLLOWING ON THE INXS WEBSITE:
How To Use The INXS.com Ticket Pre-Sale System: When tour dates are announced you will be able to take advantage of INXS.com presale tickets. Please keep checking back for future details.
When presales are announced, please follow these quick steps:
Click on the TOUR menu option.
Find the show you want to go to and look under the column called 'FanClub Tickets'.
If you see 'GET TICKETS' then there are still pre-sale tickets/passcodes for that event. Otherwise, it will state "ALLOTMENT GONE" which means there are no more presale tickets available.
After you click 'GET TICKETS', you will be shown a page confirming the show you chose and you must read and agree to the terms of the Pre-Sale System on INXS.com.
After you click the checkbox to agree to these terms, you can continue to next step.
If you are already logged in to INXS.com , just click continue. Otherwise, you will see a login form so enter your username and password here, then click continue.
The next page again confirms your selection. If it is correct and you want to obtain the INXS.com passcode for this event, click continue.
The next page provides you with the passcode and a link to to a ticketing agent where you will go to actually order the tickets using the Pre-Sale passcode.
This page also provide many details about the pre-sale so review it carefully.
You will also receive a confirmation email with details and your passcode.
The Ticketing Agent will send you an order confirmation email after you successfully order your tickets.

This sounds very good...and thorough...but I sure don't see this TOUR menu option.
Can you tell me where you see this on the INXS site?

Their site doesn't make any sense to me. I haven't received any email, but everyone knows now what time the pre-sales begin anyway. If anyone can help us understand how to use the inxs site pre-sale option, it would be GREATLY appreciated. I sent an email a few days ago asking them for help, but no reply! Pretty obvious why I only want to go to see the Lovehammers!

I don't think the presale & sale will happen for ALL venues at the same time.
We've waited for a weeks no just for dates & any update on the INXS site. They are obviously not on the ball with the ticket/tour situation, so I think the best thing to do is to just keep checking back to the INXS Fan Club section if you belong or Ticketmaster if you don't.
If you don't belong to the FC & will just be ordering via regular sale, you'll hear about in enough time on here.

Wildfire, Don't give up hope -- I know U2 got alot of flack for the presale they had, but it worked like a charm for me -- I was in 8th row in the fan club section in Chicago and it was a blast. Hopefully INXS has some control over this. I found the trick is not to "think about" the tickets they're offering-- just say accept to whatever comes up as it'll be the best on offer at the time. Good luck!
