Hi, I just logged onto the Wang Ctr. in Boston, the date/show is still NOT confirmed as of yet, same deal with the Mohegan Sun....anyone have any ideas?? I don't know if the INXS presale tix are for those shows yet...If anyone has any idea/info it would be greatly appreciated. Thx Here is some info from someone on the MSN Board re: Mohegan Sun: "I used to work for Mohegan Sun (I'm now retired) and I'm very familiar with how they work their ticket sales.
The Mohegan Sun Arena seats 10,000 people. If the ticket people feel that INXS will NOT sell 10,000 tickets, they will close half the arena and sell only 5,000 tickets. Two weeks before the show a decision will be made whether or not to make more seats available, depending on interest.
The biggest clue to how the tickets will be handled will be to watch the sale date. The Mohegan Sun show is I believe Feb. 16. If they do not believe this will be a sellout, the sale date will be around the first or second week of January. If they do believe it will be a sellout, then the sale date will most likely be the beginning of December.
Mohegan Sun in itself is a gorgeous place and I highly recommend a trip to see and experience it. The Arena is nothing spectacular. Unless INXS has a circle arrangement, the seating will be just like any sporting event. The floor seats are not necessarily the best seats. There will be large screens so if you end up getting a nosebleed seat the screen will make you feel like you are actually on stage with the performers. I was waaaay up there when Ringo Starr came and the screen made me feel like he was sitting right next to me. I took pictures of the screen and got some fantastic closeups.
Speaking of pictures, regular cameras are usually okay, but security is very, very sticky about cameras with large lens. You might want to keep that in mind. Also, no flowers and no rushing of the stage. There are concession stands and beer stands everywhere and there will be two areas for souveniers.
Hope this helps."Regarding the Wang venue, I have been trying to reach someone at the Wang...but can't seem to reach a live person via phone..sent an email yesterday..no response back...yet. Asked for confirmation of an INXS show on Feb 10th...and when tix would go on sale...also, the Wang has a $25 membership club...that gives you advance notification of shows, priority seating etc. If I get any info that I don't see already shared on the boards re the Wang or Mohegan...I will share for sure...

For those interested in the Mohegan sun concert...here is a post off the MSN Boards regarding Mohegan...this is a follow up to the last post I did:
By 1812POW Posts 79 Hi there.
First off, I have NEVER known Mohegan Sun to honor a presale for anyone, and that includes Bon Jovi and Tom Petty. If INXS manages to get presale tickets available, that'll be a first.
If you look at the Arena seating chart, you will see that there are 8 floor sections. If MS decides to close off half the Arena, there will be no sections 7 or 8. Assuming that this will be a regular stage show (not "in the round") anything further back from row 5 in sections 1, 2, or 3 are not really good seats. You may want to experience the "floor seats". By all means, go for it if that's how you feel.
You may hear "all seats are good seats." Depends on what your definition of "good seat" is. I've sat in practically every section. For the Ringo Starr show I was in the nosebleed section and loved being close to the large screens. For my favorite band, the Moody Blues, I was in the first row of section 16 on the side and I was not happy because they tend to look at only the people in the front row. I'm very spoiled when it comes to my Moody Blues, LOL. For Tom Petty I was in the middle of section 8 on the floor and was thrilled but I mostly watched the screens. My best seat was second row aisle in section 1 on the floor for Crosby, Stills, & Nash, and I could not see their shoes that's how high the stage was. Shania Twain has a show in the round, and every seat really WAS an excellent seat. I was in the middle bleacher section for that one. I really believe that the attitude you approach the show with is what determines how much you like your seat.
I'm not sure if I really answered your question but I hope this helps.
What most intrigues me is that Mohegan has never done a pre-sale before...and this comes from somone who worked for Mohegan and was familiar with how their ticket sales worked...and has been to several shows there too...as evidenced by their detail in seating, etc.
Just more info...to either help or confuse you further!!

That person from MSN does not know everything. Mohegan Sun does work thru artist's fan clubs, because I've bought fan club tickets at Mohegan Sun.

I just checked the theatre in my area where lovehammers/inxs are supposed to play, but they don't list presale tickets as being available on Wed.
I know inxs site says some venues are still questionable. Does that mean some of these places won't give us the option to buy early?
I won't be very happy if I paid for their membership and then can't try to get the tickets tomorrow. I only joined to see the lovehammers!
Thanks.

Everyone let us know how the presales go tomorrow. That way the rest of us can decide whether to join for the other shows.

You can only get 4 tickets through fanclub presale...damn. I really need 6. Does anyone know if you can get 4 tickets PER show?
Would anyone want to do a ticket swap if we can? Anyone who is an INXS fanclub member that is not already buying tickets for the Chicago show can buy 2 - and then I will buy some for a show by you, and we can swap? Does this make any sense at all? I know I'm rambling, but I really want to go to the show with my two good friends and their husbands.

Oh, I also wanted to ask:
Are those of you who are INXS fanclub members getting emails from them? I got one when I first signed up, but nothing about this presale stuff.

Generally prices for shows at the Chicago Theatre for "music" range from $45.00 to $125.00 per ticket.

I have been part of the INXS fan club for a couple days now and just got that one email at the beginning. From what I read pre-sale starts for my area tomorrow @ 10am. I guess I just keep checking it in the morning and hope that is what really happens. I would hate to think I became a member of INXS fan club for nothing.

I'm wondering if it isn't too late to join the fan club for pre-sale tickets. On ticketmaster, it says that INXS will email you in approximately 10 days with the passcode. Ack -- that's what I get for waiting until the last minute. Doh! But they just confirmed Lovehammers a couple of days ago -- so I didn't want to waste my $$.

When you join you pretty much have instant access to the fan club section. You should be able to access ticket sales through the inxs.com site, too. Good Luck.

Hi all I purchased my tickets to the Los Angeles (Gibson Aud. Universal City) Fri Jan 27, 2006 - concert throught the INXS fansite & Ticketmaster I just followed directions and everything went smooth as silk. Tickets are midpriced $50 each range, center stage, one level up from the orchestra section. I won't have to deal with a ticket broker. Thank you INXS!!!
