We are taking Bart to the show tonight because we don't want to risk traffic and being late to get in since the guys are playing at 8:20. Where did you see this thing about an intermission? I didn't see that anywhere.

I just got home a little while ago..

Did I miss a Hammerhead outing after the show?? We ended up getting there VERY late, and I thought for sure I wouldn't get in. That intermission thing wasn't in effect last night, thank goodness. I wasn't expecting such a crowd..and I didn't recognize anyone!

The show was so amazing, you guys. It wasn't as long as I would have liked, but I'll take anything at this point. They sang Paint It Black, Ring of Fire, Trees, Eyes, Tunnel, This Town, Hold On....Jodie grabbed the set list so she can post that, as I know I'm forgetting songs.

Marty wore his "Eat Your Heart Out" vest, which I love so much. When the guys came on, everyone kind of rushed the stage, so it was my very first time being THAT close during a show. I had the most perfect opportunities to take some pretty awesome photos, but I didn't want to miss a second of anything that was going on, so I left my camera with the husband. (the pictures came out like crap, but I'll post a few until someone else can satisfy your appetites!)

The energy of the show was as intense as usual, and I wasn't disappointed. Especially since I was close enough to see spit flying everywhere from Marty's singing! He brought a young girl on stage to dance with..she was maybe 12 or so? It was totally adorable, and at the end he said, "Thank you, sweetheart! You're beautiful!" I melted a little.

At the end of their set, Marty had all of the guys come to the end of the stage and they sort of huddled together and took in all of the applause. Call me disgustingly sentimental, but I felt so proud looking at all of them up there. I know that shows like that must be a challenge of sorts (it was a different kind of crowd, and most of them were there to see the headliner, "Friends of Journey" or whoever they were) I wanted everyone in the audience to love them as much as we do!

On another note, I heard a crowd of people talking after the show, saying that they were really impressed with "that Marty Casey and the Lovehammers band. He has a stage presence that rivals Jim Morrison." My husband's friends went with us, too, and they also really enjoyed the show. They're pretty much 99% converted! Score!

I hope all of you had a great time, too! Sorry I'm skimpy with details for those who couldn't go. My brain feels like mush right now, I'm exhausted. xo
