Take that you know-nothing critics - www.vh1.com/artists/charts/top_albums.jhtmlThe new Lovehammers album is #1 on the VH1 Top Album chart - let's see how long we can keep it there!! I have mine (lovin' it - and to think in my youth the "hardest" rock I liked was Three Dog Night - but there's just something about the Lovehammers music that just makes me feel terrific!!) - Do you have yours, yet??? Shit, I just emailed him too Yes Bill, yet another Hammerhead emailing you about your little negative end to your short review of the show the other night. I am a 43 year old male who at this time last year was 60 lbs overweight and was basically falling apart physically. I owe my life to Marty Casey and the Lovehammers as they changed my life the second they came into it. Marty and his band have been around for almost 20 years now since Marty was 13. They do not have any staying power? The album that is to be released tomorrow on Epic records is going to be HUGE. They will be touring the world this year. I just wanted you to know that your opinion and comment were uncalled for. Try doing an eBay search for Marty Casey-Lovehammers, and see how much money people are willing to spend on this phenomenal band. Not since the Beatles or The Who has one band had 4 members with unique personalities and strong musical talent like the Lovehammers….. Scott Cameron Seattle, WA Okay, you just got bumped to the top of my kick ass list! That was very well put^^

These reviews are from Canada, JD is from Canada. Even though the title of this thread says reviews from Canada, the reviews that were bad were from Seattle. The reviews that I saw from Canada seemed ok. Kim

What's with these jerk reviewers in Seattle? They drool all over INXS & JD and slam Marty and the Lovehammers!? I wrote Mr White with a detailed history of the Lovehammers' longevity thus far and also requested that he eat his words at some point in the future. Won't even bother with the 2nd dummy. Only those who have been Hammered can appreciate the joy and love that these four guys have brought into our lives and will continue to bring for a long, long time. Big Brother, thanks for dropping by --- come back soon. There is lots of Marty love at this site. Actually, I don't recall too much "drooling" when JD was first announced as the new lead singer of INXS or when the album Switch was released. Most of the reviews then were lukewarm at best. I think it was only when this first tour and the album sold so well and they saw the fan response to JD that they revised their thinking. Just goes to show you that most professional critics don't really have the courage of their convictions. I'm sure in the coming months, they'll be rewriting history where the Lovehammers are concerned too.

Hey, not all Canadians are big JD fans (although I do think he was the best choice for INXS, and not all reviewers will automatically hate the Lovehamamers... only an unprofessional few). Anyway, that said, I noticed Canoe.ca hadn't reviewed the CD nor had the Toronto Sun. I contacted canoe and the entertainment editor got back to me and offered to listed to it if I sent him a copy. Of course, I immediately Express Mailed him my copy. Here's the link to the review... not the most effusive, but decent and with good circulation. Not only was it published in Canoe, but it was also in the Toronto Sun today (circulation 1.2 million): jam.canoe.ca/Music/Artists/C/Casey_Marty/AlbumReviews/2006/01/27/1414596-sun.html
