Hey people, I'm learning so much from you! When LH finally comes over to my side, I'll book seats near the front but also near an exit for when I need to speed off to the merch area for the meet and greet. Will also try and bring in at least 2 cameras, one of which will be in the wrapper of a "women product". Woo Hoo!

Thanks to everyone for all these great tips.
I was upset about forgetting to bring my camera to the Metro show. I will not be making that same mistake.

I love the feminine hygiene solution! You guys are great.
I didn't have any trouble with getting my cameras in at the Aragon, but now that I have read what happened to other people I think I was pretty lucky.

I, too, will be a bit more daring at this show. I was such a geek for the Aragon show, that I didn't even attempt to take a camera because they said, "NO CAMERAS". It didn't occur to me to sneak one in. On top of that, as I stated before on another thread, I left the venue before the Lovehammers made it to the lobby. I'm such a dork. In my defense, it had been a long time since I'd been to a rock concert. My usual enertainment is The Wiggles or Sesame Street!

Hey Nelle, don't feel too bad, those Wiggles put on quite a rockin show. But by all means, YES, get more daring! Get some pics!

O.k> say you get the camera in, would it be ok (meaning safe) to use it for the meet and greet part only, in case you're too chicken, like me to take the chance to take a pix of LH during the concert, Just wondering, I am so new to this Concert stuff too. But would like to be prepared if and when LH comes to TX. ETA: I think Penny will have to come to TX to go with me to the LH concert if they come here. What do you think penny?

Oh yeah, like I am going to fly across the country to...wait never mind. Great idea! As for the camera question, I had the same thoughts about the Aragon. So I brought two disposable cameras. Figured if one was taken from me for taking concert pics, I still had the backup for the meet and greet. But then they said (while we were in line) that regular cameras were okay, so I gave my spare to my friend. Wise move, as it turned out because she was the one who took this:

What do you think penny?Isa, from what I have heard, the flash of the camera is the most annoying to the band. I don't think they mind having pictures of them during the show, but the flashing is not good. A camera with 400 or 800 speed film works great as you do not need a flash. Security will take the camera if they see "flashing". Just something to think about. As for the meet and greet, by all means, a camera is a must. I am definitely taking one for that.

That's what I plan to do Isa...I will put it down my pants (no comments from the peanut gallery please) and gauge how vigilant security is with other people taking pics before I take it out...that's usually the best way to handle it. Then, if they are freaking over concert pics, you'll still have your camera for the ultimate M&G!!!

Isa,
I should have added on my last post to bring TWO cameras, one for security who may snatch one and the other for back-up. ;D
Heck, maybe 3, just in case.

OMG!!! Thank you guys for the information. I am a camera person and love taking pix, my hubby bought me a digital a while back cuz I take too many pix with the 35 mm and he bought me a pix printer too. I am definitely going to have to wk on the camera and taking pix thing until Lovehammers ever come to TX cuz, I would be so heartbroken if I missed an opportunity to get a pix of MARTY. PLUS DINO, BILLY AND BOBBY TOO...

OK here's the deal...put one in each cup of your superpadded bra, one down the front of your pants (hey, maybe you're pre-op! Who are the security to question that???) one down the back (you know, tuck it) - or better yet WEAR A SKIRT!!! & have a whole value pack of cameras!! I don't think they can feel you, uh, up your skirt! and then...one in a supersize overnight napkin wrapper, and then your james bond secret pen camera can go in a tampon wrapper. Don't forget to hollow out your cork wedge heels for the last 2. Am I forgetting anywhere? I think we're covered ladies!!

Jodie - I'm glad you thought the super-mega size bra may work and I also thought wearing a tall style hat could be used for storage. ;D As for disposable cameras, I am going to use at least two. One for the show which I will put a piece of duct tape over the flash so it will not get anyone's attention and the 2nd one for the meet and greet. You can never have too many cameras.

What exciting news if they do M&G's after all of their shows. I hope to sneak a camera in and thanks for all of the fun ideas on where or how to hide'em!

I am so afraid I'm going to call him Mahty in my nervousness I figure I'm going to have to drink during their set cos that is the only way I can handle it! That worked well before meeting Billy Idol
