How do I get on the over 18 board? Also, I asked the question about Marty's girlfriend because I had read it on the other site. I didn't mean to offend anyone nor did I mean to stir up trouble. It really was just an "inquiring minds want to know" sort of thing. It was interesting that they said his gf was named Maria and he does thank this woman on both cds. I'm just curious that's all. . .didn't mean to stir anything up. I love this board and reading all the updates and can't thank you enough for all you do! Forgive me!  |

Hi, I can't seem to play the brand new interview with Marty link on the home page... won't open , and I'm dying here. That inteview is in mp3 format (I could get it posted faster that way.) I just played it to make sure it plays and it does. Also no one else has reported a problem....is anyone out there also having a problem? I suspect it is an issue with your computer..... or you connecton. Are you on broadband, regular dialup, or whatever? Determine what type of audio player normally pops up to play mp3 files on your computer, come back and post what it is and I can maybe offer some potential solutions for you. I had the same problem and still do. I have DSL. I have windows media, real player and music match. Now some things that I have saved open on any/all of those I guess depending how or from where I saved them ? Yes/No? I know that when I tried to open the interview/s they pop up on Music Match. They are listed in the play list, but will not play. When I click on the interview I get a pop up box that says something like - mp3 could not be found, if this file is on a removeable media please replace the media and try again. I don't know what this means. Now most of the music or vidoes I download are played thru real player. I know this is a lot of info, but I just want to be able to play all the things you provide. How do I find out what plays my mp3's. Do you suggest a certain one to use? Like real player or windows media for example. Any help will be most appreciated. So sorry if this has been addressed already. Claudia p.s. What does the reset button do? |

None of my players are playing the videos properly. They stop and start whether being played on RealPlayer or Windows Media Player. Same now happens when I play vids from the RockStar site. I know it's my computer, as they all worked fiine till my Windows program crashed last week. If anyone is really savvy with technical issues I'd appreciate any advice or help. These "players" have all just been recently downloaded. BTW Windows Media Player does play my downloaded music just fine. Its just the videos that stall.

These video play problems sound to me like they all may be related to the same thing. It sounds like the programs associated with specific file types has gotten hosed up and you need to reassign what type of software opens what type of files....specifically for the audio & video file types. WinMedia files (wmv, wma) need to open using Windows Media Player; Real Media files (.rm) need to open using a Real Player;
For Windows machines this is done by going to My computer | Tools | Folder Options | File Types Then check to make sure that files named wmv or wma are assigned the Windows Media player to open them and that rm files are assigned Real Media Player to open them.. MP3 files can be assigned to be opened by anyone of several media players. Mine are assigned to the Music Match Jukebox that came pre-installed in my Dell. I have used Real Player also to open them or Windows media Player.
I hope this helps......
The videos play fine when I just checked them about 15 mins ago.

On the press link there is an article called a Kinder, Gentler Reality by Jake Austin...but the print is so small I can't read it...I tried to search the article with no results...can you help a sister out please.

Just tried to open the video of the reality TV show from Sunday and it didnt give me an option to open only to save, then it saved it and could find a program associated with it. Please help!

A person can only have one status on the board. Your status is 18 and over.... and therefore you cannot be a big fan or new fan or whatever. Sorry. This was the only way to allow an 18 and over section.....to define a separate category/status. So no matter how many times you post, you will always be listed as 18 and Over. |

To post a photo, when posting a message, you click on the little icon beside Add Tags section that is for adding images. It looks like a little framed picture. When you do that, two tags pop in the body of the message and between the first one which is a series of brackets around the word img and the second one which is s series of brackets around the word /img, you insert the link to the photo in your photobucket account. That should do it. |

Is anyone still having video play problems? I know that network settings and security settings like Zone Alarm or similar firewall programs can sometimes prevent videos from playing properly.
