Thanks a lot, klly. I'm thinkin' I already took Wed afternoon and all day Thursday off for the StL show, which was cancelled. So, if I switched that to Thursday afternoon and all day Friday, I could drive to Chicago to Joe's (if I could get a ticket). That would make me feel SO much better. I mean, my husband just called from out of town, and I was telling him what was going on at work and the concert was cancelled and I just started sobbing!!!! It was pitiful!!!! So I'm thinking I'm going to try to go--it's only a 5 hour drive.............

Do it Linda, you are so lucky to have the opportunity. Gosh I wish Omaha was closer. Hope they have a great turnout.

I'm sooo disappointed. I just heard about this on TeamMiG. I'm a big MiG fan but I like Marty too. If I weren't out of town I'd try hard to get tickets although I'd guess it will sell out immediately. Sounds like the intimate venue that Marty embraces. Anxious to hear reviews!

Wow ... they must be haulin' ass to get from Denver to Chicago in time to set up for a Thursday show. But I guess I'm not one to judge; it once took me 5-1/2 days to drive from NY to Phoenix!

From Joe's web site it says they can accomodate 2000 people so it seems like there is plenty of room. With such short notice it may be really cool with plenty of space for everyone- not jammed in- sure wish I could make it to this one. Have a blast everyone who is going!!

It would definitely be worth the effort to drive up to Chicago.

I haven't been there, but I've seen clips of it on TV. Are you sure that it holds 2,000? The Metro holds about half that and it's pretty good size. I think that the Aragon holds 3,000, so if Joe's holds 2,000, it would split the difference between the Metro and Aragon.

Well, I've never been there but on their web site under About Joe's they say- "Joe's can accomodate parties of 15 to 2,000 guests." www.joesbar.com/about.cfm

Oh- just saw the room with the dance floor is-
"8,500 sq. ft. with a spacious dance floor, large stage for live music, three bars, several plasma and flat screen tv's and nine 10-foot televisions. Capacity in the Clubhouse is 800 (standing room only) or we have seating for up to 240 with our hi-top tables or over 300 with our banquet-style seating. "
Still 800 is pretty good- I know there are tons of fans but it is such short notice- could be plenty of room to really DANCE ALONG WITH MARTYYYYYYYY- that guy can DANCE!
