Hey guys, I just signed up for the INXS presales. My husband, kids, and I are planning to see them in Edmonton for sure. If Lovehammers are coming I might sneak to Calgary too!! I noticed they are at much bigger venues for Edmonton and Calgary.
Let's not panic about Lovehammers yet, it might just take a little longer to sort out the details. I worry a bit that perhaps the Lovehammers are a little too popular, but from a business point of view for INXS that is good.
Let's keep our fingers crossed.

OK, I don't know about the rest of you, but I am just about dying not knowing if they are coming with INXS. I hate not knowing!

Me again. I have a really funny feeling. The fact that this isn't being mentioned on either site (Inxs or LH) - if there were details to be worked out, you'd think they would have been worked out before the Press Conference. Maybe the LH made other commitments before they knew about these new dates. But why doesn't it say on their website. Oh the waiting.
Let's all keep our fingers crossed. Hey maybe there are arrangements being made for LH to headline their own tour. That would be actually be better news - assuming that they hit all our cities. Maybe there is light at the end of tunnel.

Hey I just had a thought. Maybe we're all worrying for nothing. Maybe it is just assumed that we will all assume that the LH are doing these cities - the same tour but extended. The fact that nothing was mentioned may be a good thing. Like I say, it is assumed........ ?

I emailed a couple of the radio stations (usually one of the sponsors) in a few of the Canadian cities asking if they had information regarding the opening act. I will let you know what I hear.

It's driving me crazy not knowing if the Lovehammers will open for the Canadian Tour! Aaarrrggghhhhhhh I read the announcement on the INXS site and it sounds like they are treating it as a separate tour rather than a continuation of the existing tour. What does that mean? Who knows! Man, I wish I knew...sigh. Venting complete. I now return you to your regularly scheduled chat.

Does this mean that we have to go to bed without knowing? I keep checking websites and there is still no word.
I was thinking - don't reporters usually ask questions at a Press Conference. Someone must have thought to ask if the LH were opening on this tour. I just find it so odd that this hasn't been mentioned on the Inxs site, one way or the other. Well I guess I know what each of us is going to be doing first thing in the morning - checking out the sites. How long do we have to wait to know?? Well I'm tired so I'm heading to bed - let's hope tomorrow brings us good news. Pam

From Massey Hall to Air Canada Centre - they're really increasing the size of the venue. I'd be really tempted to do Toronto and Kitchener - but dh thinks I'm nuts just for going last night let alone a 2nd time or horror of horrors, taking time off work to see a show.

I tried to email Jane Stevenson at Jam who did the interviews with JD and had an article about the new canadian dates. I basically begged her to let me know if Lovehammers were opening. However, the only email I could find was basically a support center address so I just put her name in bold first. We'll see ...

I just can't believe that it has been over 24 hours since the Press Conference and there has been no mention of whether the LH are still going to be opening in these Canadian cities. This leads me to think that they may not be. Obviously there must be some negotiations or exploring of other options going on with the LH.
Someone hinted at this site that maybe LH are too popular. I daresay that Inxs have huge egos (we know that JD does) and it must seem strange to headline a show across the country and at every city, hundreds of fans line up after the show to get an autograph of the backup group. I think they will make a huge mistake to have someone "folksy" open the show. The LH built a huge excitement in the crowd - by the time Inxs comes out, the crowd is already buzzed. The work is already done thanks to Marty and our boys. Anyway JMHO.
Personally not being a JD fan, I don't care if they appear with Inxs but this is the tour that will bring them in the next few months to our Canadian cities. The only good side would be if the LH are doing something else that will bring them even more exposure and success. And hopefully somewhere down the road, they will come to our cities as the main act - wow 2 hours of them on stage instead of just 40 minutes. It's an awesome thought. Please please let us fans know asap what is happening. Marty, post in the diary as soon as you know. I need to get back to a normal day as opposed to checking these sites every 1/2 hour (haha). LH rock!!! PS I don't think Inxs deserve to have LH open their show - Marty compliments Insx during the show for their help and support, etc. and Insx never mentions them. Anyway just a thought.

I heard from Dino that they don't know yet if they're coming on the new dates. He didn't say when they'd find out, but I imagine they'll post it when they know.

I spoke with the missus about this today...if LH is going to be around we'll make an entire weekend of the Kitchener show if we can.......... But she did mention the fact that she would rather pay money to just see the Lovehammers and not waste it on INXS...lol She's neither an INXS fan or a JD fan.......loves Marty though.........and she's still lurking.........

Well this is silly this wait. I dont want to pick up tickets to INXS in Vancouver and have some stupid band open up. It was bad enough sitting through 1/2 of INXS's set in January. LOL
