I'll take on the role of "Meal Maestro" for 2/14, since I'm local. So if you would all let me know, through this thread, if you are coming, I can coordinate with a nearby restaurant. A few of us are really interested in Asian food (Thai, Japanese, Chinese). And do we want a full bar, or are just wine and beer okay? That could make a difference.

Put my name at the top of the list Wendy!!!! I prefer Japanese, but Thai is good, so is Chinese (Hunan spicy perhaps?) Whatever restaurant is the closest to the CBGB Club is my vote. Also, are we going to eat early enough so we can get to the club early? I MUST BE THERE EARLY SO I CAN SECURE A FRONT ROW STANCE!!! I am short, 5'2", so I cannot have someone blocking my view of those eyes, those abs, that cute little white butt. OH yeah, I want to be able to see Bobby pounding those drums and feel the heat from Billy and Dino as well. Now that I think about it, not sure I can even eat I will be so excited....but must have nourishment to keep rockin' and singing all night long!!!!!!!! I trust your judgement.

LOL, anyone 5'2 and shorter than I, may get in front of me (I am very very tall)
Ok, so lets eat somewhere everyone will agree on. I think it should be Japanese or Chinese hunan/szechwan but I am not picky. I agree we should eat early like 6 pm. The show is at 8 and I do NOT want to miss Neal's band who are playing but there are more bands TBA, so maybe his band will go on around 10:00..

Depending on how many there are of us, we need to add more time for different orders/serving/people's eating speed, etc. If the concert starts at 8PM, won't the doors open maybe at 7:30PM or even 7? Eating at 6PM does not allow a lot of time to get in line or get in to the Club by 7PM...but that is just my guess.....I am also interested in hearing Neal's band by the way....and I am hoping there is no TBA band so that the Lovehammers can play yet another set!!!!!!!

Hey Everyone!
I will be coming for dinner. I am excited to meet everyone. Any restaurant will be fine. I am coming from work in Tribeca so a short cab ride I can be anywhere before 6 PM.

As myohmy posted in another CBGB's thread, we'll be meeting up to go to the show. I'll add that we both eat food ... Seriously, dinner sounds great. All the Viper hammerheads had a blast at the Rainbow Room ... and now it's our turn on the East Coast! Keep us, um, posted!

Well...I will TRY to eat something ...like yak said....I may be unable to eat much due to my excitement....but I don't want to pass out in front of the band! Also..another "shorty" here....so getting there early to stake a spot up front is going to be key for me too...damn...being short really sucks...sometimes... Thanks RB for being understanding of us vertically challenged girls!! ;D

Hey Everyone,
I was emailed by a fellow board member Gineen and her husband who is coming to CBGB and will like to join us for dinner. She is having trouble logging onto the boards. Once a place has been settled on, please post and I will inform them of where and when.
Also, I still have one tix available!!!!!! Let me know if you have anyone who may be interested. No charge, just good times!!!!!

Hi Wanda (and everybody),
I got a PM from Gineen and told her about Kin Khao. I think that's what makes sense for all of us. We should probably meet there at 5:30. I know it's early, but I figure we will want to be back at CBGB's by 7:30, since the show starts at 8. So, folks, here's the info for dinner:
Kin Khao 171 Spring Street (between Thompson and West Broadway, in the heart of SoHo) tel 212-966-3939 reservation at 5:30 in my name
I made a tentative reservation for 10 people and they will call me back to confirm. Please PM me if you plan on being there, so I can adjust the number if I have to.
And for those of you staying at the HoJo's, if you want, I can meet you there at 5:00 - 5:15 and we can walk over. SoHo is a cool neighborhood, so we should add a little time for looking in shop windows, etc.
Hammerheads descending en masse! I can't wait!
Wendy

Hey Rockbeast,
Are you taking a cab into Manhattan from JFK? If you are, you still might be able to make dinner, or at least part of it. The trip should take 30- 45 minutes, dependng on traffic (the train is another story). It would be great if you could join us!!!

Wendy (and everyone else meeting for dinner), Shall we meet at 5PM in front of the HoJo's? Also, I volunteered to help Tisha/Spiritgateway (sorry I spelled it wrong before) with StreetTeam handouts. Not sure how long I will be needed or at what time, but I'm sure there will be time to help AND eat. I, um, assume the rest of you will offer to help her also? C'mon it will be fun doing our share to promote our boys...Let's spread the love....eat at Kin Khao....and rock our hearts out at the CBGB Club!!!!!!

Yep, will be at dinner and planning to help out with flyers Tisha: I posted to you on the btof board about us trying to figure out a spot where you can leave some flyers for myohmy and me to hand out along the way. When I have a better idea of a drop-off/pickup spot to suggest, I'll get right back with ya

what are we doing after you pick me up tisha? checking into the cheapo hotel? lol Hi rockbeast, speaking of the cheapo hotel, I canceled my reservations there - I only kept the night of the show. I read a bad review on it, I mean really bad, and freaked out. I am now thinking that we should set up something else - accommodation wise for that night.

Really bad review where? TISHA, are you booked there at that hostel? zzz do you have a resv at ho jo's for a double? ? i need comfort, not a sweatbox, cockroach hotel with open ceilings, rats, shared bathrooms with strangers and showers that are co-ed, etc... Oh god what was I thinking. I am so not staying there. Will cancel my resv. tomorrow. Its just that this show is like TWO days before my payday, so what money I have now, is what money I will have on the 14th. It's like people are helping me make this happen and that 34.00 rate was really down my alley. If Tisha was not picking me up at JFK, I dont know what I would do. Now we have to figure out how to get me back to the airport on the 15th.
