I also posted this on the LH board, but I'll post it here too... If anyone will be arriving via LGA at around 3pm, PM me if you want to split a taxi to the Lower East Side. Thanks ;D Cannot believe it's just 8 days from now Sorry, brennak, I am arriving there on Monday morning and fortunately a NYC friend of mine is taking the day off to pick me up at the airport and go with me to Monday night's concert. However, when are you leaving on Wed morning? I will be interested in sharing a cab then!!!!! Also, Wendyc122 and I are hanging out on Tuesday to do some sightseeing and help Tisha handout flyers....do you want to join us? ...I already know you are attending the dinner too....let me know....

Hi myohmy, I took the whole week off: seeing LH on Sunday night, too, then Phil Lesh on Wednesday, and then off to Mohegan Sun on Thursday. But the CBGB's show is the one I am totally focused on. I won't get much sleep the night before, or probably that night either. Who knows? We may all go out for a post-show drink. I know I'm going to be very wired up afterward. Wow!! That sounds like an amazing itinerary.... I get to see them for my very first time this Friday in Boston...then again at CBGB's...these WILL be two very different experiences....both of which I am so ready for! I will be on an LH high for sure and a post show drink sounds like a fine idea....

Hey Wendy and myohmy, I think I read on the CBGB website that there is a separate bar area at that club. Do you think the Lovehammers will be hanging out there after (or before) the concert? They have a next night concert in Reading PA, but I am not sure how quickly they will have to board their bus to leave town. Marty used to live in NYC so I was wondering if he might hang out with old friends from the city instead of his fans...No matter what, I agree with Wendy in that I will be too wired (actually before, during and after they perform) to go back to HoJo and sleep...an after-party to squee together sounds like a grand idea!!!!!!! Besides, I will probably need someone to wipe the drool off my face because I will be in a trance if Marty "hypnotizes" me with his baby-blues!!!!! Well yak....ya just never know....where those guys might turn up! *note to self* add to "items to bring to NYC"....tissues to wipe drool off yak's face......and mine too!

For my Valentines/Hammerhead CBGB's outfit.. The jeans and red shirt came today. I have to wash the jeans and pray they shrink a little, they dont fall down when I walk or anything (didnt put a belt on). with a belt it would be cool. Here is the red shirt. first picture the lighting in my room was all wrong and so you can see how red the shirt is in the second picture, its almost blinding/fire. lol scuse my mess in my room, I was in the middle of cleaning it, I swear. hahaha. Oh, and I f**ked with my face via photo shop because I was making VERY stupid faces, And I will NOT be wearing it John Travolta style like here below, I just was trying to get use to the f**king ITCH. It vintage 50's and make of wool. The shirt is going to look great with those john varatos pinstripe jeans and my new black converse all stars. Now, if that armband the fan made me in Aussie gets here and Tisha is armed with guyliner, I am sure to stand out as "that hammerfreak" LOL

I grew up just outside of Boston...was accepted at 3 schools in Boston as well after high school...but did I go there? Nooooooo...I decided to go to Troy, NY instead...Russel Sage College... Looking back on it now..should have picked one of the schools in Boston...it is a great city!! ;D But I wanted to get some distance from home...so off to NY I went...did enjoy my years there....can't complain!

I agree Jamie...I see no mess behind rockbeast...I see, uh, a room that is lived in....My house always looks "lived in" cuz I have a small house with not enough closet/storage space so "everything" tends to get stacked and multiply...Seems normal to me! It is nice to hear that a guy fusses over his appearance doesn't it? We all shall be an army in red and black!!!!!! wooooo hooooo, a week from now I shall be hanging with my Marty/LH pals!! I AM SOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!

Wow, that's great about the cameras!!!!! And the place is really small, so the pictures are going to be AWESOME! I'd better get some fresh batteries.
I went by there earlier today and here are a few more logistics. Doors open at 7:30. Remember to bring the credit card you used to secure the tix, although it's CASH ONLY for the tix themselves.

ditto, good news about the cameras/photos...cash only? Then WTF was the reason why we gave them credit card numbers? I guess to get a headcount....and the place is closing soon so maybe they don't want to deal with paperwork....and it is the best way to discourage scalpers...

hey Wen,
big storm hitting the east coast this weekend...they are saying there is a "possibility" of a foot of snow by sunday...or maybe not...supposed to be clear for Mon and Tue however...clear and cold, low in the teens I think they said....We will have to watch the weather report. Looks like my ugly (but very warm) jacket will have to do...
Let me revise that....there MAY be a big storm. You know those weather guys like to panic people...I just hope the boys in their bus and me flying into LaGuardia on Monday morning are not affected...4 days til I see the Lovehammers ROCK NYC!!!!!!!

I am in New York, and it’s freezing!!! Snow is expected for the weekend. Bring your jackets, scarves, gloves, and the whole nine yards. Btw, I took the subway from the JFK to 94th Central Park West - the only reason I do not recommend doing the same is that... LOL...there are no elevators in the subway stations (?), and like me, you will end up having to drag your bags up the stairs. Safety wise I felt pretty okay. I had people helping me with directions as well as with my luggage. I also found out about the Airport Shuttle service - if you are not on a schedule - since it makes several stops to drop off other passengers - it’s $17. Wish I had called the hotel, before the subway odyssey . Also, I mentioned MC&LH to a couple of college folks I met on the plane. She goes to school in NYC and he will be going to a military academy next year in NY state. They are very interested in going to the gig on Tuesday. I told them it’s sold out and offered one of my tickets to them. They need another one, so they can go together. If anyone wants to donate, or sell face-value, a spare ticket please let me know. I will be talking to them again on Sunday. And they can meet you at the door on Tuesday for final arrangements. Btw, cell phones from out of state (at least from CA) work in New York, and wireless connection for laptops is abundant: airports, star bucks, etc.
