Can somebody tell me where Pala California is? I never heard of that town and wonder if its really Palo Alto (home to Stanford University). Just curious.

Nope not Palo Alto. Pala is a casino town. I think it is about half way between San Diego and L.A. but more toward the desert side of the state than the ocean side.

Hi All - I am a new member here and yes I went to the LH concert at Pala with my husband. The show started promptly at 7:30pm with Casualty. This was a very small venue, holding only 2,000 people so I was excited to see that the stage was so close.
Anyway, Marty got the crowd going with his rendition of Ring of Fire followed by Trees, which got everyone up on their feet dancing. I should mention Marty came down into the crowd a few times and took his shirt off on stage, which got me even more excited. They were absolutely worth seeing live!
I stayed for the first two INXS songs and I have to admit they rocked, but of course I left hoping to the see the boys in the lobby. It paid off because I met Billy, Bobby and Dino, who were talking to a few LH fans. They are so down-to-earth, easy- to-talk-to kind of people. They singed my CD and took photos with me. It was awesome.
After the INXS show ended the LH boys did a meet and greet with fans. Although I did not get to talk to Marty, I was able to snag a picture with him and he signed my CD. Have to rap this up...pictures will be developed soon... can't wait for Gibson Friday night.

When they signed your cd, did they have a pen or did you bring a pen? I'm thinking about bringing my MOMM cd to the Chicago show, but don't know if I should bring a pen with me. As you can tell, I don't ask for many autographs.

Actually they opened with Ultrasound. Same set list as previous shows. Don't remember if Casuality was added. I went alone and my seat was in the back corner. The crowd was on their feet for Ultrasound and sat down after that. They did not stand up again until Ring of Fire. A girl told me to sit down because no one could see behind me (because they were sitting). I had to stand against the back wall.
Only good thing about being in the back corner is that Dino, Bobby and Billy came out back there to watch INXS later and I got to talk with them and give them hugs! Bobby is the sweetest thing you can know. Caught Marty walking alone through the casino right before the meet and greet. I gave him a huge hug and held on for a couple seconds. He did not talk to me. Don't think he liked me hanging on him.

For the meet and greet, they have their own markers (silver). You can buy the new CD where the shirts are sold. Marty told the crowd during their set it was the first day the CD was available for purchase and they would be in the lounge to sign them after INXS. They made it easy. The line went from one end of the casino to the other! Get there before INXS is finished or you may wait awhile. I got lucky and was about 10th in line.
