You're so right about that concert - WE all went nutz and the rest were TOTALLY INXS fans - I think Marty and the boyz won a LOT of fans over tonight!

Can you take it from here for awhile - I'm still reeling.......seems I've been hit with some kind of a Hammer somewhere. LOL

Actually you need to get some rest for tomorrow night...:-)

Ok where was I...then I had Jack in the Box and went to sleep...NOT!!!
So LH is done and Treedom tracks me down! Big relief we go to 4reeds and plan on meeting up during INXS 2nd song.
So the three of us with Treedom's daughter (great lady who is now known as Treedom Jr or Tree Jay for short) go out in the lobby and kind of look around see if we can find out anything. Who do we run into? Waiting4MC and NancyBBe! They got caught in that traffic and missed the LH show poor girls but they are still going tomorrow night. I was so happy to meet them and was so JEALOUS of the GORGEOUS picture waiting4mc has of her and Marty from the Aragon show (was Aragon right?) Anyway they looked like the freakin king and queen of the prom but I digress. Those two leave in search of something to eat and we're about to give up (we'd been out there for about 20 mins) when all of sudden I hear a girl yell "MARTY" and go charing over. It was Marty, Bobby, and Dino. We mc.orgers calmly walked over and waited our turns. Poor Tree Jay got so many cameras thrust at her but she took pics like a pro. Unfortunately they were unable to sign anything due to some restrictions (but a CD signing was planned for 10:15pm) but they did take pictures. When I approached Marty I kept telling myself "Don't do anything stupid don't say anything stupid he's just a man just a man just a..."gulp" The first thing he does is stare me straight in the eyes (are those 747 Boeing's in my stomach?) and reaches out and touches my hair..."I love that color" stroke stroke (mental note will keep hair blue til day I die) I get picture taken, everyone does and gets to have their "Marty moment" he talks to all of us even though he's being pulled at by everyone. He talked about buying the CD at Tower records but the clerk didn't realize it was him ;D About how great everything has been going etc...I asked him if the Viper set would be different he said yes although they're a bit rusty with the older tunes...I asked if by any chance they could do Velvet again stares me straight in eyes and said he would see what they could do and smiled at me (sigh thud may I have your baby? ) ok so then I see Dino and Bobby and they're talking to some long haired rocker guy that I think I'm suppose to recognize but dont...I wait patiently then ask Bobby if I could have a pic said yes was very nice but quite didn't get a chance to chat. He's kind of tall and very well put together nummy nummy. On to Dino ask politely says "of course" in a way that makes you feel like he truly means it as Tree Jay is setting up the photo I say something like " even on mc.org you're a big favorite I love reading your posts so your so kind to do them" He smiles big says thanks and I think he kissed me on my forehead! At this point I'm on LH overload so I'm gonna to chose to remember it like that! And another note Dino is a good looking guy on the pictures etc...but in person? MEOWWWWWWWWW! Hello may I have a baby by you too? And he's got such a nice open personality...By now Billy has come out and I wait til he's alone and get my picture with him as well. We then talk for awhile he is sooooooooo nice. We joked around about a bunch of different things, I asked him some Street Team questions, we talked about INTERNET marketing (I'll post in depth about that later in ST forum) he was really impressed with the postcards Radioclash had made up took a bunch and the flyer's I made to put out during the CD signing. I then blurted out in my usual dry sarcastic way "Man you look so much like my ex husband but I wont hold it against you" thank God for me he has a sense of humor and laughed. I really feel so lucky to have been able to talk to him for so long and he conveyed how much the ST effort and all the fans mean so much to them. OH and I asked him about the whole "OJ-odie" thing he said it didn't scare them at all and they thought it was great. 4reeds Treedom and everyone else got have their moments with all the band members to and when it was over we all were so impressed with how great they are, how truly thankful they are for all the love and support. I'm not one to get sappy but this was truly one of the greatest nights of my life I loved meeting my fellow mc.orgers and LH. I'm gonna get some sleep and first thing tomorrow gonna get my pics developed (please God PLEASE let me look half way decent so I can display proudly)

As promised they had a CD signing at 10:15 they were seated ready to go when INXS finished there last song. No pictures but they signed Tshirts, postcards, pics cd's but it did go by pretty fast. I got my CD signed and floated on out very happy...and just think I GET TO DO THIS ALL AGAIN TONITE!!

Thanks Polarfan and Treedom, that was a great bit of writing, funny too ;D. You must be so tired now, or are you still buzzing around on the LH high?

Poor Waiting4MC (still waiting!!) and NancyBBE missing the show. Ouch!!

Yup I've been up for 23 hours now but still have this big stupid grin on my face! ( I never smile my face doesnt know how) my mom thought I was plastered (I didnt even get a beer) I'm rambling now got to get to sleep hopefully will have "sweet dreams" and a sweet picture to show off tomorrow! ;D

You are so ON for this summer, Polarfan - maybe all the MC.orgers can stage a reunion! Tree Jay had a great time too - I think she's completely converted now, with a little help from both of you! She was impressed with Marty - and actually all of them - who wouldn't be?

Thanks, Polarfan for posting the setlist - nice to know what we rocked to - it was all so good. And drat those security guards - I could have dealt with the cute lab "sniffer" dog quite well, but ick - the "guards..." Guess they all do what they all have ta do... we did ours just fine.

Yep - the next stop was the meet and greet where Marty and the guys signed all our stuff. I had printed out some pix for them to sign and given one to 4reeds and Tree Jay (dotta) and Marty looked at mine and said, "That's a good picture where did you get that?" I said I printed some copies from LH.com for them to sign. We ended up with 2 out of 3 , someone slipped the third one away....Had 2 CD's, a Tshirt I bought and the pic signed. Sigh, I'm a happy camperette...

It was an awesome night - we had a most excellent adventure and Marty and the Lovehammers were THE BEST. Ready to go again... well, tomorrow maybe........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Y'all if you have a chance - go see this band - you WILL NOT be sorry!

Thanks for the reports!! I've suddenly turned in to a morning person (can't wait to get up & see how last nights concert was). A shot of the Lovehammers opens my eyes much faster then coffee does.

Woo-hoo! Those are some awesome reports! So many great things I want to comment on, but I am still buzzing from hearing Ring of Fire on the phone. I'm so glad the cell phone lines decided to work at that moment ;D

Can't wait to hear Billy's ideas for the Street Team - yeah! That'll definitely be some helpful advice!

First, I want to thank Polarfan and Treedom for accepting me into the board and the group last night. It wouldn't have been nearly as much fun without them!!

I've had a couple hours of sleep and several cups of coffee and found my way into work (not too late).

Polarfan and Treedom both wrote such excellent reviews that I don't know where to begin, but here it goes...

The evening was truly perfect. My hubby and I arrived at San Manuel and quickly found a great parking spot.

We went in and got in line for the metal detectors and purse check (gulp - I have a camera in my purse lining and one in my boot) Luckily I make it through with no problem.

We went over and picked up our t-shirts right away since there was no line and see a sign that The Lovehammers will be signing autographs at 10:15 (could I really get that lucky???)

Didn't see Polarfan so we walked around, checked out our seats and got a drink. Then we wandered back to the merch. area and stood around for about 10 minutes until I realize we are standing next to Polarfan!

We waited around for Treedom until the show started and then went to our seats. As soon as the concert started we slipped up to some closer aisle seats with a perfect view. (My hubby was a fraidy cat, he was worried they were gonna kick us out for being in someone's seats)

I am so glad that Polarfan wrote down the set list, because I know I heard all my favorite songs, but I couldn't begin to tell you what order they were in. I did a cellcert for my sister (home watching my kids) during Trees. I later found out she wasn't there but it did record on my answering machine (How cool is that!)

The next thing I know Marty is coming into the audience and is right beside me. I reached out and touched his arm (nice muscles!). He runs past and guess where he ends up??? He's standing on a chair 2 seats from our original seats! My Hubby is still teasing me about missing that.

Anyway, the entire set was awesome, the music was great and the floor shook when everyone got up for Ring of Fire which was excellent.

After the set ended, Polarfan and I finalized our plans to meet after INXS's first song which by the way was pretty good. My hubby stayed behind to watch the show and I left to run around with the MC.org gals.

We didn't wait very long until it was obvious something was going to happen. All the guys in suits starting walking around... the next thing I know Marty Casey is standing less than 20 feet away from our group. In hindsight it was pretty funny, because I am trying to get over there and get the camera out of my boot at the same time. I'm surprised I didn't trip and fall and knock Marty to the ground.

After a group leaves we get up close with Marty. He is so cool and not too thin (as I've heard commented before). I asked him to sign my cd (which came out on my birthday) He told me Happy Birthday, but that they couldn't sign while INXS is playing but they'd be happy to sign it later. We took a ton of pictures with Marty. I told him I had just bought a 2nd CD this morning because my pre-sale never came. He apologized for me not getting it (how sweet is that).

We told him we'd be at Viper Room Friday, and he said 'Wow, how did you manage that, those tics were hard to get'

I had been trying to think of something cool to ask him so I asked about his tattoo (he got it during RSINXS) and he said 'Cool, I haven't thought about the tattoo in about 3 weeks' Then he lifted back his hair so we could see it and take pictures.

All in all, he was a great down to earth person and very nice to speak with.

We then met and took pictures with Bobby and Dino then ended with Billy who is adorable in person! I asked him if Marty had discussed going on RSINXS with the band and how they felt about it. He said that some of them were for it and some were against it. But that it all worked out better than they could have asked for in the end.

I watched a little more of the show with my hubby and then went to stand in line for the signing. We were up near the front so it was over so quickly but again the band was so nice and made it the best evening ever.

I am patiently waiting (not!!!) for Sams Club to open so I can develop my pics. I too am praying for a decent pic of me and Marty to post. (You know, eyes open, no double chin or dorky face)

Thanks again to Polarfan and Treedom for being so great and to my Hubby for letting me run around with the gals so I could have my dream of meeting Marty!

Just wanted to let you all know....you weren't the only Lovehammers fans there ;D

I met two friends/fans of his from Chicago who were up front in the roped off section. They saw me wearing an I Marty shirt and came and said hi.

Needless to say I am also from Highland and I went to all the Rockstar tapings this summer, with the exception of two and the finale. Had a new nephew and job interview during those.

Here was my first report....on another board from when I got home:

OMG

I am totally dead....that was the most f**king amazing concert EVAH.

I am really talking about Lovehammers part. I was standing up and sang every god damn word

After INXS I waited in the hella long line...no pictures were allowed.

Marty remembered me Now I know I saw him every week for the run of the show...with the exception of two, but still I think that is pretty cool.

I finally got a Marty hug

They signed two new cds and MOMM and L'Strange for me. Dino --- I think....though to be honest I was paying more attention to Marty, hell he was signing my shirt right above my boobies, hell one of them anyway made a joke saying: I bet you were looking for a shirt that says I Love Marty but I love Billy more, hell they could have said Bobby. I am totally not sure. But we all laughed and I told them I was going to be in Vegas. They asked me where I was going to be and I said section 5. They said," We will be looking for you." I reminded them that they will need binoculars to see me.

All of them were so nice to me.

Here is my second report that I wrote this morning:

Okay...I am sort of awake.

Yes I do have a job, but no I haven't worked this week

Next week when I get back from Vegas it will be back to the grindstone again.

I am going to try and remember some details from the concert.

I got in there at 7pm --- of course I had my I LOVE MARTY shirt and my MiG purse. For about 30 mins before I went in I was talking to my friends from the tapings. Good times. I can't believe how awesome the summer was and I totally miss going to the show every week.

So I get to my seat....I stole my brother's aisle seat as he wasn't coming until INXS and he is 6 ft 2....so he doesn't need help in that department.

Two people with Lovehammer Chicago shirts saw me and came back to talk to me. Very nice couple. They were up in the VIP section and Marty saw them and was so happy. Wearing an I LOVE MARTY shirt is a great conversation starter...FYI.

So there are I am standing and singing the whole time. Really it is hazy. The set list was in a little bit of a different order. Marty did come out into the audience and sang the row behind me. People were actually trying to get me over to him, but that didn't work. He was going to come out my way, but someone had to jump in front of him....phoooooey

He did introduce the band at some point and made his speech about them being Lovehammers, not Marty Casey and Lovehammers.


The set was awesome. It was a little empty at the start....but that meant I got a great view. Everyone was up for Trees and Ring of Fire.


So now to the signing.....

I guess at least 100 people were in front of me in line....and about 20 or so were behind me. Could have been more that though as the line was really long. So I get up there and Marty sees me and has the hugest grin on my face. I made a comment about finally being able to talk to him and not getting yelled at by Rockstar security and the boys laughed and that is when I got my hug. Not everyone got a hug, but he leaped out of his seat for me. So I moved on to Dino, I believe, this is why I need cameras...as I know all there names but my memory of order is shit. He is the one that made the crack about my shirt....and then I was like...f**k....as I forgot to ask Marty to sign it. They were all talking to me at the same time...so I was like Marty I wanted you to sign my shirt....he was like of course and leaned over Dino and signed it.

I think at that point I was pretty well known....in fact a couple people from Marty boards said that I was one of the biggest Marty fans I had ever met and I informed them that though I love him....I am way down on the food chain of fans.

So back to the convos....we started talking about Vegas and the boys asked me where I would be sitting and I told them section 5. To which they promised they would be looking for me. I warned them that they would need binoculars. Then I had to go....I think they would have liked me to stay longer...as I actually talked to all of them. But security was shooting me looks and I know better than to cross that line again.

Then my friend and I went and got merchandise. I got a Lovehammers tour shirt and a Pretty Vegas shirt. As well as two Lovehammers wrists bands for a little 7 year old that I know who loves Marty.

That is who I was getting the second new cd signed for.
