Yep, Marty pulled me up on stage and let me sing a duet with him...rain on the brain...anyway if you belive that then I have some swamp land in Florida for you! lol

Can anyone who was there help me describe the improv piece Marty did in the middle of This Town--with the "oh yeah, allright" and then he filled in different things about the audience--like the "hot chicks" being there that night.
The hot chicks where the girls promoing the XLR8 gum in short skirts and t's. They really got into Marty (How could they not?) For a while they were behind me--but at some point they moved to the side of the stage and that's when Marty pointed them out. I can't remember all the other things he said in that interlude--anyone?
I was out walking the dog today and that riff of "oh yeah--alright" kept going though my head.
This may make no sense to anyone who wasn't there but I can't get it out of my head so I thought I'd try to share it.

He was checking out the chics because they had been moved to stage right and as he was singing he was smiling then putting his head down and looking back up at them. But for some reason the exact words have escaped me. But it was something like. I'm singing to these hot chicks, something something something. I don't know...I suck ...sorry. The one I liked too whas when he sang Mr. Brightside and changed the words at the end to say "I can't believe ...I was on...Reality TV". That was genious!!! He is so playful. I love to see him playing on stage...he did a loit of that.. a lot w/ Billy they were really playing off one another. Geeze... so awesome. |
