Not sure where else to post this (may be old news, too.) Here's the new INXS dates according to my email today: (from LH.com) INXS North American - Leg Two Apr 21 Memphis, TN - Orpheum Theatre Apr 22 Nashville, TN - Ryman Auditorium Apr 23 Cincinnati, OH - Aronoff Center Apr 25 Columbus, OH - Palace Theatre Apr 26 Louisville, KY - Palace Theatre May 5 New York, NY - Radio City Music Hall Bon Jovi (European leg - from VH1) 05.13.06 LTU Stadium Dusseldorf 05.15.06 Stadion Linz 05.17.06 Schlotzplatz Koblenz 05.20.06 Croke Park Dublin 05.24.06 Hessentag Weilburg 05.25.06 Goffertpark Nijmegen 05.27.06 Canninstatter Wasen Stuttgard 05.28.06 Olympic Stadium Munich 05.31.06 Stade de Suisse Bern 06.03.06 Hampden Park Glasgow 06.04.06 City of Manchester Stadium Manchester 06.07.06 Ricoh Stadium Coventry 06.09.06 St. Mary's Stadium Southampton 06.10.06 Wembley Stadium Wembley 06.11.06 Wembley Stadium Wembley But of course nothing about the Lovehammers opening for either, but these dates are still aways off (and don't overlap interestingly enuf) so who knows..... just thought I'd throw it out there and see what happens.

The way I read the INXS part of your post, it sounds like you got some kind of e-mail from Lovehammers that listed the new INXS dates. Is that right?? Or was it a typo and you actually meant to say the INXS tour info came from INXS.com? (Because if LH are distributing INXS tour info, that's probably VERY significant ;D)

This is NOT treedom but I got the same email she did - from inxs.com announcing these additional dates so......no LH connection there.

(Because if LH are distributing INXS tour info, that's probably VERY significant ;D) Sorry - I guess that does sound like that. It was a post from someone on LH.com who had posted that THEY had received an email newsletter from INXS. Here's the link for you to check out: [ftp]http://www.lovehammersforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=1103&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=30[/ftp]. It's on P. 3 of the Tour Talk thread/Band opening for INXS and the poster was ~VAL~. I think you had to pay for a membership to the INXS fansite to get the newsletter (and an early chance for concert tix) if I remember right. Hope I didn't befuzzle anyone. ;D

Yep, it was an email from INXS.com., not from anything related to LH specifically. ;D

Thanks for clarifying, guys.
Now that you mention it, I just realized that I got the same e-mail from INXS. (Like a lot of you, I joined the INXS fan club specifically for presale access to LH shows on Leg 1 of the INXS tour.) But I hadn't even bothered to open that e-mail till now. See, I know that if INXS so much as whispers the word "Lovehammers," I'll hear it on the MC/LH boards in a nanosecond ;D

I started to summarize what Marty said in the MC.org interview, but I didn't want to misquote him. Here is is directly from the interview:
Cindy: The Lovehammers are not going to be on the Canadian tour for INXS, correct? What are you guys going to be doing?
Marty: Correct. Well, we got offered some headlining tours which are exciting, but that's not necessarily the most potent way to expand your fan base, which is really what it's all about right now. We need to keep on expanding the fan base, trying to get bigger, and keep on selling more CD's. We're definitely trying to get a jump on another tour as an opener, that's a great way to do it. Every single person who comes to see INXS, I think they come out of there saying, "Wow, Marty's doing just fine."

I am really hoping that the rumors of the guys touring with Bon Jovi in Europe are true though. That would be so huge for their level of exposure. And I don't know if anyone else noticed but, those tour dates run from mid May to mid June so they would be back in time to do a Hammerfest 2006. Got my fingers crossed and am saying my prayers. I am still hoping to get my 1st MCLH live experience this summer in Chicago. ;D Sharon

INXS just announced more US tour dates which has them playing the US through May 25. As much as I'm hoping they WOULD come back with INXS (since they're doing a Pittsburgh date!) it would conflict with the Bon Jovi tour. And going out with Bon Jovi would be much, much better for the band than additional dates with INXS. But I can be greedy, can't I? BUT, since I'll definitely be going to the Pittsburgh INXS show (as my JD-loving friend will drag me there; I owe it to her for pointing out Marty one of the times I spoke to him, I might have missed him otherwise) it'll be VERY interesting to see how the crowd is.....since I'd be seeing them WITH MCLH and without!! (Yep, my mind is always working...........just not on work!)

Oh, I didn't pay for the INXS fan club... just signed up for their newsletter. And that was just to get news about LH. Guess I need to unsuscribe to it now.

I tried to unsubscribe by clicking on link in newsletter, but instead of going to a web page I get a box that says "locate link files" and lists sections of my computer? ? - Weird!! Couldn't find a place to unsubscribe on the website either. CJ Depoe Bay Oregon

The word unsuscribe is in blue but isn't clickable. There was a snail mail address to unsuscribe but I wasn't that concerned so I just let it go. No biggie I suppose.

I just got an email this morning announcing an INXS show on May 23rd here in Chicago at the Rosemont Horizon. Wonder who is opening for INXS then? Good luck selling out the Horizon in Chicago without the LH.

Good luck selling out the Horizon in Chicago without the LH. Not that in matters, because I agree that INXS will not sell out this time around in Chitown but they are playing the Rosemont Theatre not the Allstate Arena which is a WAY smaller venue.

So this irks me. I went up to Avery Fisher Hall last Friday (St. Patty's day) to return my tickets for the canceled 2/12 show, and the hall was DARK!!! There was nothing scheduled for that night. And Marty was in town, which means that LH didn't have another gig ... and INXS didn't have another gig ... grrrrr ...

I think it is strange that LH have something going on in May-Memphis and August-MI, but nothing else as of yet. Bon Jovi will be in Europe starting the weekend after Memphis thru the end of June! Coincidence OR are they really keeping their schedule open to tour with BJ???
