The show last night was so much fun. Met Mig-He could not be nicer or more down to earth! Everyone sounded great. It was a little sureal to see Lovehammers in a place like Park West. A little too clubby I think. But of course they had everyone rocking! It was nice to see Matt play with them but we certainly missed Billy! Hoped for a longer playlist-guess we'll wait for Oyster Fest. We left before the M's went on so I don't know how they were - maybe someone else could fill us in.

MiG is a total sweetheart ;D I am still tired from yesterday, so I will be lazy and copy & paste what I posted at the Lh board. The show was great. As always. Totally weird without Billy there, though. Matt(from RS Supernova) filled in. He only had a couple of days to learn the songs and he did a fine job.
I got to the Park West really early--around 2:30. SHR had to be in the city early that morning for an appointment, so I decided to meet up with her and 7of7. The Rockstar bus was parked in front of the venue.
A few Team MiG fans were out there. We stopped to chat with them and they were super nice people. Then I looked up, and MiG is standing there now. He is such a sweet person and even cuter in person. I told him that I heard that he sang my song last week. (Stones' Angie) He said that he was going to sing it again tonight. He talked with us and took some pics.
SHR, 7of7 and I decided to go and eat lunch/dinner. We went to a place down the street called Stanley's. Grabbed a bite to eat and chatted for awhile. They have walls where people write things. So yeah, of course we added lovehammers.com and some Lhs to the wall.
Have Sharpie, will travel. Dan and Randy were there too. We saw them as they were leaving & we talked with them for a couple of minutes.
Eventually, we decided to go back out in line. It was humid and sticky outside. I have no idea what time it was then...almost 4:30 maybe? There were more people now, but the line was still pretty short. Saw & talked with some of my favorite Fangirls and also some awesome Snark Girls. We were also in line with Neftali. It's always good to see him; he's such a sweetie.
A member of Team MiG had let us PM her earlier during the week to be put on MiG's M&G list. (Thank you, nancy/sunshine! ) We got our wristbands early and then we were taken inside to meet MiG.
He gave us sampler CDs and he signed mine with the song lyrics, "Angie, ain't it good to be alive" lol
Then we went back outside and waited and waited to get inside. Doors were to open at 7. Finally, they let us in.
7PM... not a huge crowd. I know that this was a weeknight & everything. With so many tour dates scheduled, a lot of out-of-towners did not come in for the show like they may have in the past. But still... it was not that big of a crowd. We all need to do what we can to ST like crazy for this tour. The guys are incredible and we need to get the word out to as many people as we can. :!:
Okay, so we get let inside. Register to win some stuff. Get a free RS Tshirt and some temporary tats. Get a much needed beverage after standing outside in the humidity.
First up is MiG. He did not sing Angie *sniff* because he did not have enough time. He only sang a few songs but he sounded great.
Then was Neal's latest band, 'Mink'. They were alright. His drummer is a girl...she was really good. 8) They sang for quite awhile.
I had never heard any of their songs yet, and time goes by slower when you can't sing along. But anywayyyyyyy...
FINALLY, it is time for Lovehammers.
BILLY! We missed you, man. Can't wait to see the next show with you playing guitar. Matt did a really good job (especially considering he had to learn those songs quickly) but it is NOT the same without our Guitar God Billy!
The guys were on fire, as always. Cannot remember the set list, but then again I never do! I DO remember that they did Give It Up. I don't think that I have seen them do that live before. Very cool... Here's a partial pic that I took backwards...and it is not accurate because Mr Brightside was not done, but anyway...
Marty stopped for a few minutes during the set to tell his family that he loved them. He talked about his dad and he brought out a guitar and said that he was giving it to his father. He was very sweet. We talked with Mom & Dad Casey outside after the show for a few minutes. They are so kind and it is always a pleasure to speak with his family.
Jessica from RS INXS was there in the crowd watching the show. She came onstage to sing Trees with Marty at the end. I think I have a little bit of it on video.
Okay, then after LH, there was another band. The M's. I have never heard of them. Not to say that they sucked, they didn't. But hello?!!! PUT LOVEHAMMERS ON LAST! I felt bad for this band. After the Lh set, people did not stay out on the floor to see them. When they started playing, no one was out by the stage watching. It was like when a movie has the closing credits rolling and everyone is walking out of the theater. Some people left, some people were walking around trying to... find some Lovehammers, and the rest of us sat down on the comfy chairs and booths. Eventually, a few people made their way out onto the floor and kind of danced around. About six people. Six drunk people. They should have put these guys on before Lovehammers. Just sayin'.
Awesome time as always...thanks guys!! Have I told you all lately that I love you? It was great to meet more people from the boards. At every show I meet more & more people and it's a blast hanging out with everybody.
