How to get Ultrasound CD?

I didn't mean the you had to go bid on the auction, I just took the opportunity to plug Dan's auctions again martycasey.proboards62.com/index.cgi?board=off&action=display&thread=1137482888 since he had annonced on the board what he was doing.

Ultrasound is a collector's item....and it is going to sell for really high. It doesn't upset or shock me that the bid is so high. I just think it has to be a good omen for the band that people are willing to pay that much for their first cd effort.

I know, I have been a record collector for a long time, and it's certainly a great sign of their popularity (not to mention the concert tickets that go on eBay for as much as David Bowie's in San José last year).

I am sure though, that many people who are interested in the music are going to be as frustrated as I am because if these are going to be the prices, I will not be able to ever buy Ultrasound or even listen to it. That is all I am about.

If ultrasound is out of print and band getting nothing for it. how does the webmaster feel about getting a copy and starting a tree for fans,no money exchanged ,you get a copy you promise to make 5 copies.

If they ever re-released it, I would buy it even if I had it. I'm totally into supporting this band.

???I hate to be a party pooper but. . . years and years ago I used to work at ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, it looks like Marty is signed with BMI). My knowledge from working there is that the CD is copyrighted material and whether the band makes money on resales or not it's illegal to copy the CD. It's probably not to cool to make arrangements for trading copied CD's on a public board.

Bummer, man - I guess we could start bombarding Epic in hopes that they can release the old stuff without having to re-mix it. Or I could get another job to afford ebay prices! ;D

Kari is correct.

There is no way we could distribute any of the music. I don't even have any of the songs to download or play on the site because that to me interferes with the bands ability to sell the songs. Maybe the songs on Ultrasound will be released in an upcoming CD, or maybe the band can produce more to sell. I'm sure if the demand is high enough they will find away to sell more.

I'd love to buy one if they can produce more. I want to support the band too. From all the responses on this thread and all the attention the band is currently getting I hope someone in the LH's camp finds a way to sell more CD's. Make some noise everyone.

I hope that they re-release Ultrasound and I hope that Sony doesn't do their magic on it and remix it or something.
