Hi Suzy, I just confirmed that southwest flys into Kansas City or St. Louis so both would work. (I'm using my free flight to get there!) Sooo... if any advice on what would be the better airport as far as distance. Thanks! ~Susan Hi Susan... It's easy for me to say to come through St Louis because I'm familiar with the airport... I'm pretty sure (not positive) that the Kansas City airport would be a bit farther from the Bluenote...I'm so glad you're coming and sure hope we get to meet up in Columbia! If you flew into St Louis would you be arriving Friday or Saturday...are you renting a car or do you need a ride?

Im in St louis and I will be there for sure with 2 or 3 friends, (one a LH virgin!) I may be a bit crazy cause I'm moving that morning, but it will be oh so worth it! I hope to meet some people at the show, I went to the one at Blueberry Hill but kinda stayed off to the side, and didn't talk to anyone but the merch chicks for the other band lol. See ya there Chinacat!

One more thing...I heard of a fun place to eat if anyone's interested. It's called the Forge and Vine and is located within walking distance of the venue. A friend of mine manages the place and I've heard a lot of good things about it from other friends who have been there... It's moderately priced and the food is supposedly very good...kinda like a steak place. Just a thought!

Sorry. I haven't been on the boards for a while. KC is farther away from Columbia than St. Louis, but only by about 1/2 an hour. If you are going to the KC concert on Monday, I would fly out of there.
As far as restaurants, there are tons of great places downtown. I haven't heard of Forge and Vine. Is this in Columbia or KC?
Personally, we haven't decided what we are doing before the show yet. I thought I had a thread of restaurants and stuff to do in town, but it may be on the other board. I am thinking Shakespeare's, but am not sure yet. If anyone else has ideas let me know. THX!

I stopped by there yesterday. I had no idea that TP's was gone and that was there now. It looks really nice. I'm game for anywhere. It's going to be crazy though since this is the students first weekend in town. Do you think we should make reservations somewhere? Maybe see how many people want to eat somewhere? We could start a new thread.

I'd be happy to go just about anywhere...even if we don't eat at The Forge and Vine I can still just stop in to see my friend. If everyone wants to try it out though, I'll be happy to give him a call if I can get a tentative count...
