Wicker Park isnt the scary southside area that you are worried about (and not the part of town that Marty referred to on the show). It is a very cool & swanky part of the city, no need to be scared! You should go and !

I won't make it to Wicker Park after all. I'm beyond bummed out. I'm starting my graduate degree tomorrow and I also start a part-time job this week (need the bucks to pay some bills, including tuition) and I have to work on the Wicker Park weekend.

Arrrrggghhhh!!! And I was really looking forward to continuing my middle-age foolishness in Chicago.

How will I get my Marty fix now?

Does anyone know what the parking situation is around here? I was wondering if I should look for a street spot or a parking garage? Preferably parking garage! UGH!!

no parking garage that I know of, and parking in that area is kind of hit and miss-- the few times we have driven down there, we find a spot when somebody just happens to be pulling out of a spot as we're driving by. For us, parking anywhere south of Belmont is likely to be a hassle, so we usually just take the L.

Something that might be good to check out is a park & ride option. You can park at a garage on the blue line closer to O'Hare (for CHEAP-- esp. considering Chicago parking costs!!!) and take the blue line to the Damen stop-- right by the fest.
