Chanvre- That could be tight. It will depend on your on-time arrival at the airport, whether you check bags etc. Are you flying Midway or O'Hare? I'm sure the party isn't going to end right after dinner. You can call me on my cell when you get in and are ready to hook up with us--I can tell you where we are! You might be able to make it for dessert. I'm flying into O'Hare, but you're right..I don't think I'll be able to swing it. DAMN!!!!  I'll definitely be calling you, CJ. Hopefully, we won't miss too much of the evening festivities. Sorry, Penny. Can you remove me and the Mr. for dinner? |

Okay....we are confirmed............ The kids are looked after and I just bought the tickets to the show and printed them............. Now for the hotel..........I need some help...........Chicago people..... We are looking at the Springfield Marriot on WestHiggins Rd. which is about 9 miles (18 minutes) from Clarke St. Ideally we'd like something within walkinbg distance or a sghort cab ride.........can anyone please supply the names of some closer hotels? I don't mind driving but i'd much rather not have to worry about it. The sooner the better..........thanks in advance............ ;D  |

You mean you are confirmed for the SHOW, but you still aren't coming to the dinner, right? We'd love to be at the dinner but I don't think we'll be there in time Penny...........right now we want to book a hotel and we are going to decide later whether to fly or drive.......if we fly we'll be in around noon...if we drive it will be more like 6pm or so........ I assume the night won't stop at the dinner right? Bar or something afterwards......  All I need is a few numbers (have a couple already...not sure if they are going to the dinner tho...) so I can call and find out what you guys are doing and where we can meet up.........or I can give someone my cell that is going to the dinner for sure. We'll be driving from the hotel (near O'Hare) so I hope there is fairly easy access to parking as well on Friday and most especially Saturday. Pretty much need all the help I can get...lol.....never been to Chicago before........ |

Stil, that's what I thought you meant. I just wanted to be sure because it was posted in the dinner thread. I'm sure tons of people will be hitting the bars after the dinner. I'll let you know what my plans are as we get closer to the show.

Penny, the group of people I mentioned have not decided what they want to do so I am going to tell them to directly post in this thread IF they want to attend the Friday night get-together (the rest are not arriving until Saturday).
That said....just add ONLY me to the "Yes, We'll be there" list. (You have already added heartotexas who will be coming with me)
BTW, are you going to be posting a "deadline date", I assume you will have to in order to figure out the pre-paid cover charge?
