I guess I'll be the first to post my review here. The show was absolutely amazing! The guys were in rare form and were joking around throughout the show. Especially when it came time to celebrate Bobby's birthday. Marty had him come out from behind the drum set, which was a definite first for any show I've been to. And he even gave Bobby the mike to actually talk! ;D ;D They played for at least and hour and 20 minutes, if not longer. I wish I had taken a picture of the venue so that you could see how large the outdoor area was. The stage was at the bottom of a hill, and people were sitting all the way up to the top of the hill. I think estimates were in the thousands. During Bottle of Justus there was a good group standing around the stage. After they left, I decided to go down to get a good spot during Lovehammers. (My husband and I were sitting about half way up the hill - we got there sort of late). I was able to get a spot about 2 people back on Dino's side. The center area in front of Marty's mike was packed! But I had a great view and got some great pics (to come later). About half way into the set I turned around and the crowd that was standing behind me was huge. It was great to see so many people rocking out to the Lovehammers. From Lovehammers Heaven Lyn

This next one was me trying to salvage a problem pic. The sun was setting and really was too bright on Marty's face. So I "Photoshopped" it. This next one I call the "whirlwind". I'm sure you can tell why. ;D

Wow, what an awesome show! I am going to work on a review, but here are the songs that I remember (out of order I'm sure): This Town Call of Distress Ultrasound (first part only) Throw My Head Wish You Were Here Clinic Hold On Tunnel Mr. Brightside - just Marty. Billy, Bobby, and Dino left the stage for this. Clouds Paint It Black Better Off (Walk Away) Ring of Fire Low-Life Insurance Straight as an Arrow Trees I may be missing some...

Awesome pix! I love the "whirlwind" photos - those of us who have tried to stop the action of the Whirling Dervish with a camera can appreciate them - and it's SO completely Marty...LOL! Also like the outdoor concerts for capturing all of them better, but Bobby especially - the lighting is just better all around and you got some great ones! You fans in Illinois are so very lucky Hope they hammered about 1,000 new fans! and who could resist after all ? Thanks for sharing !

They also played "The Riddle"! I think Penny's list is otherwise complete. I was so excited to hear Mr. Brightside. That was a first for me and it sounded awesome! The Bobby birthday celebration was REALLY fun! It was the first time I've seen Bobby come out from behind the drum kit and the first time I've ever heard him speak on stage! Marty let him choose what song he wanted to sing for his birthday and he chose "Let's Get Wasted". Marty also said the Kourelis parents were in the house! It was a HUGE crowd. Marty mentioned 9,000 people! I really hope they were able to expand their fan base because it was an amazing performance as always. I brought a friend who was a hammer virgin and now she is totally smitten! What a great show!

Very good show. The only thing I can think of to add (which was funny & cute).....When Marty announced that Dino/Bobby's parents were in the crowd, Dino says "Sorry I am wearing make-up" to them. He said it kinda quite with a shy look on his face.
It was exciting to have so many people experience the Lovehammers. Marty ran out into the crowd for awhile while singing. He referred to the lawn people a few times. Got the crowd going all the way back. They joked around a lot on stage, very fun show.

One other thing happened, which I'm sure we've all seen pics of (and I hope someone got one this time). After Marty climbed back on stage after walking through the crowd, his pants were definitely lower in the back. ;D ;D For the rest of the set, whenever he turned his back and bent over .... you get my drift? Even the DJ who was MCing the show mentioned Marty's "half moon." ;D ;D

Marty was certainly Mr. Talkative last night and he was HILLARIOUS!! I am guessing he had a few drinks before the show. Did anyone see the all out brawl in the grass for Bobby's drumstick? It was between a middle aged woman and a 14 year old boy-no joke. They were seriously rolling around on the grass beating the crap out of each other for maybe 5 minutes. It was insane! I couldnt believe my eyes!!! The boy finally gave it to the woman and then she left, probably out of embarassment......yikes!! Hopefully it wasnt anyone here
