Marty was certainly Mr. Talkative last night and he was HILLARIOUS!! I am guessing he had a few drinks before the show. Did anyone see the all out brawl in the grass for Bobby's drumstick? It was between a middle aged woman and a 14 year old boy-no joke. They were seriously rolling around on the grass beating the crap out of each other for maybe 5 minutes. It was insane! I couldnt believe my eyes!!! The boy finally gave it to the woman and then she left, probably out of embarassment......yikes!! Hopefully it wasnt anyone here OMG, I missed that. ;D Here's the crowd... SRO part in front of the stage: Here's the lawn and up the hill: It was packed. Great show!

Great pics, JS. One other story from the show. I met a woman from Madison (she went to the show there), who brought her family down for Last Fling. Her 4 year old son got to meet Marty before the show and got a picture with him. When Marty said that he was singing Mr. Brightsides because a 4 year old had insisted, I immediately thought of her son. He was really excited to see them singing. She brought him up to the fence and was holding him up. We were on Dino's side of the stage, and at one point Dino takes off one of his wristbands (it looked like a wide brown leather one) and tossed it to him. Dino is such a sweety!

This was my first outdoor LH concert and I loved it! The crowd was big and the music was outstanding. Penny, the only song that is missing from your list is Riddle.

We saw and met Marty when he played at the Chicago Theatre back with INXS, and I must say, the Last Fling show blew that away!! They played such a nice, long set, and his banter between songs was sincere, funny and very engaging. Wow, Bob is killer handsome and I liked the ways the guys in the band laughed at Marty's jokes...as if they haven't heard them before (maybe not?). We were way up front far left at the stage, and it was a killer view. My two young sons are spoiled now, for sure! We also saw Cheap Trick live last night, and we all agreed we loved the Lovehammers way better.
I liked when they brought out the birthday cake to Bobby and when asked what he wished for (and was reminded to keep it PG for the all ages show), he cleverly said something like, well I can't say or my wish won't come true, right? So sweet. Marty did this thing on the ground with his microphone to set up a great beat for one of the songs. He's an amazing performer!
One more fun thing...with just two songs left to play, Marty told the crowd that under USUAL circumstances and when they are playing internationally as headliners, they will leave the stage and the crowd will begin chanting "Love-Ham-Mers, Love-Ham-Mers"....and he got the crowd chanting that, while he explained that then when the crow was roaring they would return for another song, and he acted like he was returning and the band began their first "encore". Very clever and fun. Can't remember what song it was, though? They were even good sports while performing Trees, though I read he was tired of singing that song and preferred it acoustic.

Finally back home where I can post some pix--I thought I'd be able to do it from the road but a number of the pix needed cropping exposure adjustment etc. and duh! I forgot to load that software on my laptop. It was a great show! I have to say the time on tour has made them even better as a band. I saw them at the Roxy and just six weeks later the show was even better and tighter if that is possible. Plus they all looked like they were having so much fun. Glad I got to meet so many people from the board and sorry we didn't have more time to talk. I also missed saying hello to others--imagine that in a crowd of 9000-10,000! Anyway here's a few pix from the show: This is pretty much my view from the stage. I was second row right next to JS with a bunch of young children in front of me so my view was pretty sweet.
