Birde, I can't believe it - you had exactly the same thought as me. I wish I could have jumped in the cab with you. I walked over to Spadina and got on a streetcar, then walked all the way along Queen. Totally the long way to get there. Doh.

Yeah, I totally agree it was the best to hang out there and watch the scene unfold. I blew it with Marty, but I did actually saw a couple of words to Suzy. I'll be seeing her in Kingston at Limestone Bluesfest on August 24. Hey, maybe I should post that somewhere on the boards.

Next time LH are in town, we'll hang out together for sure. And we'll go where the LH go until the party ends.

And I was one of the people who helped sing "Eyes Can't See"! I was near the stage on Billy's side. At one point during the song, Marty was crouching down in front of me. I was singing at the top of my lungs, along with all the other Hammerheads around me. Marty made eye contact with me, held his gaze and then STUCK THE MICROPHONE RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE.

I sang "I can't depend on noone else" and then he patted me twice on the top of my head. I haven't sung in public since 8th grade! It was an unbelievably cool moment.

Wendy, I think it was you that I had dinner with before the show....with your friends Gineen and Jenny....that was a lot of fun, it was great meeting you guys in Toronto and then seeing you again in Buffalo! And it was so much fun also to meet redjasper and witness her excitement at her first LH show.

Thanks for the Paint It Black vid, chifan. As a Stones fan, I was hoping to see the band do this in person, but they started doing it after we saw them first on the Switch tour.
They did it hammerstyle - loved it!

Birde, thanks for the compliment on my singing ... it was purely instinctive ... I'm glad I didn't have time to think about it. But I'll never forget Marty crouching down in front of me, making eye contact. Those eyes! So intense! I wish I had told him that during the m&g, but my brain went into overload and instead I babbled something ridiculous. I'm still embarassed about it.

And chifan, yes, that was me at dinner with Gineen and Jenny. So glad you joined us. The videos are great!

I have been reading all of the concert reviews as I update the Archives and I just wanna say that you Toronto fans rock. Wow! what a show, what fans, what energy.

Wow, the show atLee's Palace was incredible. I had such a blast and it was so awesome to be standing right in front of Marty. I thought his eyes were beautiful before but to see them looking right into mine was just amazing. I melted! If anyone has any pics of him down in the audience and could post them that would be great. Sadly the batteries for my stupid camera died and the ones I got on the way to the show weren't strong enouigh for my beast of a camera. But I would be so appreciative of anyone who could post a few pics of him with the audience! Thanx for your help with this. Love all you fellow Hammerheads!
