Here's the review I did for LhFC and a couple pics.
Hope you enjoy.

“this town get louder, louder………”
Last night’s show at Music Mill in Indianapolis was just that. Loud. And it was amazing.
The venue is fairly new, and has a kind of retro-kitschy feel to the bar/restaurant part of it. The actual concert hall of the venue was similar to Joe’s or Pearl Room in that it was kind of open and warehouse like, with two different bars- one at the side and one in the rear. It has a capacity of 750, and while I don’t think that was maxed, there was definitely a large presence there of excited fans, and that made the place explode.
The band opened with This Town, which was different, but it was electric. That song always gets the energy in the crowd flowing. Next was Call of Distress, then the full version of Ultrasound and Tunnel. I had heard from some of the concert goers at the Columbus show the night before that they had played Sky is Falling. They played it again last night, and the place erupted.
After Sky is Falling, Marty quipped a bit about not being an attention whore, but how the light followed him everywhere he went, and he was trying to run out of the spotlight, but of course that was to no avail. It was really cute. He talked a bit about songwriting again before Clinic was played.
Then, Marty joined the band and played guitar for Clouds and Wish You Were Here, and that was just amazing as always. I love how the extra acoustic guitar just fills out the song and makes it incredible.
Then they went into Hold On and Eyes Can’t See. I’m not sure if it was during this portion of the concert- I think it was- but Marty noticed that there were purses and empty bottles and cups on the edge of the stage, so he was going to the areas and asking people to move their shit. So we did. Marty began picking up some of the empty plastic bottles that were on the stage and tossing them, and one of them hit Dino. Marty just laughed and kept tossing them. It was pretty funny. I don’t know how funny Dino thought that was. After the song, Marty made a comment about the one side of the stage and all the things there by saying “I think they’ve got a game of Risk going on over there.”
They played Riddle and then did Rockin’ in the Free World, and that was mind blowing. And yes, I think I did pass out again during that song. Then they played Trees, and prior to playing it, Marty explained how Kurt Cobain had once said songwriting was like writing a nursery rhyme and how Trees was his nursery rhyme.
Of course, after all of that, the crowd was not going to let them leave without coming back for an encore. So we screamed and clapped and screamed some more until they came out and did Straight as an Arrow. Then they played Let’s Get Wasted, which included the which- side- is- louder scream off, which is so much fun. Marty really gets into encouraging the sides to scream their heads off. They played Ring of Fire next, and then finished with Throw My Head.
Of course I’m sure I missed some funny moments- as Marty is always so quippy- I think at one point he talked about how grateful he was for the band and putting up with him cause he’s so moody, but this hopefully gives you the general idea.
There was a meet and greet at the end of the show, which once again just shows how wonderful the band is and how much they truly appreciate their fans that travel to see them and the new ones that they may be meeting for the first time in their hometowns.
The show was a late one, with the first band coming on at 9 pm, and the boys coming on at 11:30. By the time they had met everyone in the line, it was almost 2 am. To me, that just speaks volumes for them and who they are.
Next week- Urbana and Madison. I’m far too spoiled.
