[glow=yellow,2,300]AWESOME[/glow] video cj! BTW...what was the 1st song performed? I recognized 'The Tunnel', but don't recall hearing the 1st song...(I'm sorta new at this!) Also, what on earth was going on on the floor when Marty was circulating? It looked like kids were registering for classes or something! OXO Lucy It was at a Collegefest, so the booths were different giveaways and stuff like that. I like the looks he got from the unsuspecting people. The first song on the video was Ultrasound.

Sorry I am so behind in getting a review up from Collegefest....got home very late ( early Sun am) and had a family gathering on Sunday...and wasn't online at all yesterday.... First off...let me say without doubt....Yerba is the bomb when it comes to street teaming and for all she does to support the band...I learned much from her...and will continue to put into action what I have learned by watching and hanging with her... I met up with Yerba and taxegirl (nice to meet you taxegirl!) before the doors opened for the show...I brought more flyers to hand out...Yerba had called earlier saying the flyers were going well...and I jumped in my car and drove straight in to the city, parked in 24 hour parking next to the convention center. Martymania and bobbymania were also already there and it was great to meet them....When the doors opened at noon...we went in to the convention center to register...Yerba and I scoped out the area...looking for spots to put up some flyers...we taped them to the stall doors in the bathroom (inside!) and on a column near the stage... next to the performance schedule. We watched all the music acts....and they all were pretty good....and they all got various size crowds depending on the time of the day...Damian Marley was a huge draw...being very popular with the college age kids and already getting lots of playtime on WBCN...and they were on at 2pm...height of the crowd at the Collegefest. As the time neared for the LH to take the stage...fans who had come in for the show made their way to the stage...it was great to meet more new people...put faces to names and say hi to those I already knew like YNOT, Wendy, etc....So good to see you guys! Hoot (sambren) and her husband and two kids were near us...and they were just adorable ( and not a bother at all...very patient kids they are!) and I am glad they had the best time! It is just so amazing how the LH treat the kids...it just melts your heart. From the youngest to the oldest fan....the guys treat them with great respect and appreciation. As yerba said, she moved back to do some ST during the show & keep an eye on Billy ... but I could not tear myself away once they started playing...I was like the moth attracted to the flame...as always...they were fantastic!!! I had never heard Sky is Falling live...so glad they did that one....Billy's back up vocals on this one rocks! And this was also the first time I hear Ultrasound in full....they opened with This Town.... I just wish there had been more of a crowd....but the overall exposure was great for them...and hopefully it will lead to more opportunities....and I did see some new fans in the M&G line...along with the familiar faces... I have to check out the videos and the pics from others who took them...haven't done that yet! I opted to not take many pics yesterday...I will check what I did take to see what is worth posting...mostly from the brief sound check they had before the show started... The guys did get a chance to sell some merchandise....but we had to hustle thru since when they ended....it was 6:30 and collegefest was ending at 7pm on Saturday...they graciously signed stuff and took pics and spoke with people....until the lights went out!! Marty made a comment to the effect..."why are we always closing down places!"....LOL!! They made mention of hanging out in Faneuil Hall that night...after cleaning up....I hope they got to "tear it up"....as Marty said in his diary post....Boston was rockin that night...with all the college kids back in town, it was a warm night....so tons of people just out enjoying a Sat night in Boston! I know I had a great time hanging in the city that night...with other fellow hammerheads....what a fun time! It had been awhile since I stayed out late in Boston...didn't get home til 3am.... Hope everyone made it home safe and sound... Many thanks to the LH for making the trek to Boston...to play here again...and to all those fans who made a trip into Boston....to support them...you all rock!!!

I'm so bad at reviews. We had a great time at the show. The best one we've seen yet. It was definately a smallish crowd, but a good one. It was both my kids first LH experience, and they had the best time in the world. On the way home, my daughter told me her wish had come true. Awwww.
The guys really rocked and had a lot of energy. The kids were so excited when Marty invited them up on stage during Trees. The kids were so cute...and the guys are just so sweet with them. Its really heartwarming to watch, and makes you feel even better about loving them as a band.
I have to give a shout out to all of the nice ladies around us. Thank you myohmy and Yerba for letting the kids squeeze in up front. We missed you though during the show, Yerba. Before the show I had people point out that Dino and Bobby had come out, so I could try and get my kids over to see them. Everyone was so nice to the kids, and really thrilled for them when they got all of their moments. It made the day more special for us...thank you all so much! You all rock!

The guys put on an awesome show ... Marty was very physical, jumping off the stage and running down the corridor (you can see it in the video), climbing on a very big speaker so he was about 10 feet off the ground (he hit his head on one of the lights when he jumped off, though ... sometimes I worry that he is going to injure himself). But they had their usual energy and intensity, and it was great to hear "Sky is Falling" ... I love so much of the older stuff.
My only wish is that the crowd had been bigger. In retrospect, considering the kind of event it was, the earlier time slot might have been better.

He was great with the kids!
One unusual thing ... for this show, Billy and Dino switched sides.

Hey Hoot...you got some fantastic pics!! Great job! And Wendy...yes...thanks for remembering that Billy and Dino were not on their "normal" side...thinking back...all the bass players were on the right side for all the bands..maybe this is just how the system was set up... Normally Billy is on the right side (facing stage) and Dino left...but not this show. I hope you all had a good ride home Sunday... Next stop...Hammerjam!

Oh, I just love marty's red tie. That's the best one evah! *winks at DG*
Thanks for the reviews guys. The video depressed me yesterday, the crowd looked soooo small, but I'm glad it was fun and that there were great fans there supporting the band!

Thanks for the photos Hoot! They're great! Bobby looks so far away though. And, I noticed they didn't have their clear mic stand. Musta just used the same one for all the bands? I love Marty's electric guitar. I haven't seen that one before.

Actually, Bobby was pretty far away. One good thing was that the stage was very big, so Marty really had a chance to jump and really move around a lot.
I just wish there had been more people, but I think most of the kids had already left the convention hall by 5:30. I hope WBCN (big radio station up there) heard how good they were and will now be more open to playing their music. That will make a huge difference. I'd like to see us start a campaign calling or emailing WBCN and telling them we were at the show and we want to hear LH on the radio. As a matter of fact, I'm going to do that right now, and request "The Tunnel" ...
