Thank you to everyone for sharing their experiences, reviews, moments and pictures. It is fantastic to see and read them all. I really appreciate them all.
I am not so good at writing any type of review or anything, but I will try to put my thoughts about HJ weekend down here.
First thing, I don't just fly on Friday the 13th for anyone, of course, my hubby said if they said I had to sit on a cactus to go see Lovehammers, I would have done it. My friends, know that about me and gave me some lucky items to carry on the plane with me. Which was a fantastic plane trip up to Chicago but on the way back to Austin, had lots of turbulence. The plane probably knew I didn't want to go back.
Chicago was beautiful to see for the first time. Riding a train and lots of cabs was fun. Walking the streets of Chicago, going to the beach, seeing Lake Michigan. Feeling the cold strong powerful wind all unforgettable. Cab drivers over there are in a real hurry to get where they need to go no matter what.
HammerJam was my first rock concert experience and my first Lovehammers concert. It was beyond anything I had ever imagined a Lovehammers concert to be. I was so mezmerized and absorbed into the moments and music. Thank goodness, they are making a DVD of HammerJam. My hubby took pics from the back which let me get into the concert. It was fantastic to feel so free for an evening.
Thank you to some great Hammerheads that let me have a great spot to be able to see (4'11" here) and throughly enjoy the concert. Thank you to needy for catching Bobby's drumstick and giving it to me as a gift for my first Lovehammer's concert.
Thank you to all that were involved into the making of HammerJam Weekend!
It was great meeting or seeing all the Fangirls and Hammerheads face to face. Wished that we had more time to spend with each other.
Absolutely fantastic meeting Marty, Billy, Bobby and Dino, all Thanks to Chi for leading me to these truely sweet, friendly Amazing Rockstars so I could meet them all.
Thank you so much Chi, for helping me get a moment that I have hoped to get for so many months.
Thank you to hubby, Chi, BG and RF for getting some great pics of THE MOMENT.
HammerJam weekend was certainly an unforgettable wonderful experience.
Now let's see..........................what else...............................I WANT TO GO SEE ANOTHER LOVEHAMMERS CONCERT!!

Hi Kamran, What does your album cover look like? You have me very curious. Thanks for sharing your pics with us. It’s picture of a girl lying on the ground close to a gravestone, with some tree leaves that were being moved by wind, accumulating on her. I named the picture “close to the dead”. Although it was posed, it is in a sense also real. In the summer before taking that picture, I had lost 8 people I knew in various ways. “Trish” a friend of mine, who used to model professionally and is in the picture, had a history of pain due to losses as well. I asked her if she would come to a graveyard with me for a photo shoot. In my mind, it was a form of therapy to get more comfortable with death and find the way back in the world of the living. I recall that some friends (e.g. Bobbo) where concerned if its going to work out, or is it going to turn into a “crying session”. It worked out great and I think it helped both of us. I am currently pretty comfortable with the subject of death, I suppose at least until it strikes me hard again! I really like the pictures form that session. Another picture from that session is inside the booklet called “gift” with her, offering flowers. I am still curious how people feel about the artwork of the new album. If you want to give your 2 cents I will appreciate it. You can go to hotel45.com on the music page and click on artwork to see large versions of the CD artwork. It is becoming a HOTEL45 tradition to post a riddle about each album’s artwork on our message board with free show tickets etc. for the winner. But we never want people to buy a CD to just look at the artwork. That’s why we post the artwork on the web. Sorry this became kind of long winded! K/\ /\/\ Hammerhead and 45ver

K/\ /\/\ Hammerhead and 45ver Hi Kamran, I just checked out the CD cover. Yes, it is a little dark - but I think it's absolutely beautiful! I love the emotion behind it! Actually, what I think is even darker - is the inside shot with the hearts nailed to the post. One other question - I believe you did "Tomorrow Never Comes" at Hammerjam. I noticed that it is only on your out of print album. Is that song available anywhere else? My husband and I both loved that song. Thanks, Lyn

well, kamran, I know a place....! If you're in the market, I might just be able to find a little something here in HK! Let me know! Wow Jetsetter, that’s an offer I can’t resist. How about this; if you find the time, can you pick two articles of clothing e.g. maybe 2 shirts or a jacket and a shirt, with a shopping budget not to exceed $50. You can send a private message with your email and I can pay you back using paypal. Here is my taste; must be black – no dragon’s or touristy stuff; think like this: would anyone in the movie Matrix sport that outfit? – Must look Chinese design – but can not have hard buttons (like metal or finished wood) they would scratch the back of my guitars and also get stock into the “whammy spring mechanism” – (I like to keep the cover of the spring compartment open for quick adjustments). For Chinese stuff sold in USA, I am size 3XL or 4XL I don’t know how sizes work over there. This is pretty fun. Related Hammerjam memory: I walked into our dressing room and said “ I need a fashion consultant” - “I don’t know if I should put on a Chinese shirt or a T-shirt under my Jacket” Dan Darrah said ”Marty looked at your Jacket and he liked it” Me: “ Well who can be a better fashion consultant?” So I asked Marty to take a look. He said “I think a T-shirt would work better because it wouldn’t get too busy” – “But I shouldn’t say that without seeing you try both”. So I tried both and went into the Lovehammer’s room for opinions. I can’t remember who it was from our band (Maybe Danderson) who said “with the Chinese shirt and jacket you look like Dr. Evil from Austin powers”. Marty thought they both work but the T-shirt makes me look slimmer. I think it was Bobby who said I need a medal with the T-shirt. I said “I haven’t been brave enough to earn a medal!”. Marty said “ medals may get stock on his guitar”. (I may actually try the medal idea for the show after next , but for the next one I’m pretty excited about a Zombie costume!). So after a bunch of kidding around I ended up with the T-shirt idea.
