yes the bucket is nice!! and I not it's not a surprise... but MARTY shirtless... Yeah no kidding!!! They left the stage like it was over And Marty still had his T-shirt on but then they came back out and Marty was shoeless and shirtless. He started doing his wiggly arm stuff practically on the floor! A half naked Marty in the floor was too much for me! My mind is still trying to fill in all that happened last night. It was an amazing show!!! They sang all the regular stuff plus and Hit Me Baby One More Time. They said they would never do it again! They also sang Whish You Were Here. I took about 250 pics and I will post some when I get home.

Treedom, bobbylove and mchell - great pics I wish I could have gotten a Marty hug last night. But he was holding shop in the bar and when it closed they chased everyone out - I never did get back to him. But I got my Bobby and Billy hugs - which I had missed in Madison. One pic I wished I had gotten was Marty being dragged back on stage. ;D Dino came out and asked everyone if it was OK for them to do a couple more songs - as if we'd say no! ;D ;D So the band came out without Marty and suddenly there he is - being dragged back onto the stage. ;D But I was on the far side and missed that pic. It was crowded on the floor, but surprisingly I was able to get fairly close on the far left side - even though I didn't get out on the floor until the first band started playing. Both Hotel 45 and Covurgirl were good. However, from where I was standing (right next to the speakers), the sound was a bit distorted. It seemed like the instruments were mixed too loud - they almost overpowered Jessica's singing. It even sounded a bit like that for Lovehammers a couple of times. But the show was fantastic. I met so many wonderful fangirls last night - and hope we can all meet again soon - but definitely at the next HammerJam next year. Lyn

Hammerjam..... explosive,ferocious,soaring,sexual,evangelical,elusively graceful, subtle,sly,sinuosly slinky,absolutely prototypical!!
Those are just some of the images that came to mind in a stunning program.
I'm a new fan (post reality show) so my reactions to the Lovehammers is still new. This is the 2nd time I've seen them, bringing my 31 yearold daughter with me.(yes, I'm an aging lady rock fan/historian). We both were blown away.
My only regret is that my aging back and feet couldn't last for the meet and greet. I just had one dream to pass on to any band member..... I would love to see them cover the Pixies song "Cactus". My daughter and I are Bowie freaks, and he covered that song on his "heathen" cd. The lyrics are edgy and sexy, and I'd love to hear the 'Hammers spin on that song.
Last thought... Marty Casey is one-of-a-kind.There is NO-ONE like him.

Marty (and all the guys) are one of a kind. I don't know of another band that would do the kind of meet and greets that they do - getting right out there on the floor with their fans. One thing I would love to see is the band on VH1 Storytellers! Marty can certainly spin a great story during the concerts and I think it would be great to hear the story behind more of the songs. Lyn

Marty Casey is one-of-a-kind.There is NO-ONE like him. I'm of a certain age, too. And I agree, there is NO ONE like Marty Casey. The show was incredible, although less intimate than the smaller shows. The smoke and the big, high stage made this one seem more like an arena show than a club show. They started with "The Tunnel" instead of "Ultrasound" so we didn't have the drum intro like we are used to. Instead, one minute there were just lights and smoke, the next minute .... OFF WE GO! Marty was wearing a black jacket, black vest, red shirt, black t-shirt, his signature grey hat, and white pants with two belts (I love that look). He was very intense, very serious, very controlled in all his movements. He had strips of black tape on his fingers (thinner than usual), which he wasn't doing in several of the shows earlier this summer. He used his hands a lot. His banter was very controlled, too. I wouldn't say he was playful. He was a man on a mission. He did all the things we expect and we love. Perhaps it was because the show was being taped for later release as a DVD. Yes, folks, a DVD!!!!! And it was great to see him again without his shirt. It confirms once more that he is one of the most beautiful human beings on the planet. I know that many people here see that as sexual ... I don't ... to me, he's an artist through and through, and taking off his shirt isn't just about exposing his body for us to squee over, it's about putting yourself out there for the world to see. Stripped down, bare bones, nothing hidden. And when he started doing the "arm dance" ... it was indescribable. My only regret is that I found out that "Creep" and "Velvet" were on the set list, and they decided not to do them. Just as well, I guess. If he had done "Creep" I think I would have passed out.

One other thing, unrelated to the show ... to all you folks in Chi-town, your city ROCKS! I'd go back there in a heartbeat.
