Shuckra your review was awesome. Bulletholes is my very favorite LH song because of the depth of emotion. Loved your description of Marty singing it. I would have needed an entire box of tissue for that. I've never heard him sing that live, but that's pretty much how I imagined he would do it. I'm tearing up right now.
And you're right, we all get it so there is no need to feel silly expressing your thoughts and feelings regarding this amazingly talented group of 4 beautiful men. Thanks.

OK so we all know I am no good at beautifully detailed reviews. And certainly my pictures are no better than so many of the other great pictures that have already been posted, but because you guys are so important to me here is what I've got. Flying into Chicago I (unlike so many others) had only a little delay, like an hour. I stayed at the HoJo's, which was actually not bad at all. The room was clean, everything worked, and we had all the supplies (towels, tp, coffee, etc.) we needed. Friday night was beyond awesome, thanks again Penny. I really couldn't say about the food cuz I was too busy to eat. LOL There were so many of you I wanted to meet and so many of you I just wanted to at least get to say Hi to again (those of you that I have met previously), that there was just no time for food. Sorry if I missed me you (like Amy ) next time for sure. Saturday Alix and I kinda took it easy slept late, had lunch, and picked up a few things at Walgreens, the usual stuff, and walked back to the room to rest and prepare for a long evening. The cab ride was nice (Chicago cabs do not dilly dally, pedal to the metal kinda guys, gotta love that) just be sure to hold on. We got there about 5:45 there was a line but now real long. We got to see the guys come out and wave to everyone, that was exciting, as if we needed anything to get us excited. LOL I was meeting and seeing people at every step and that was the greatest thing. We ended up on Billy's side of the stage because I had some friends up close in that area and wanted to make sure Alix had a good close to the stage spot. First band, Hotel 45, was really good. The music was very different from LHs but really good. Second band not so much, IMHO, however that could have been due to some problems hearing her. From the moment the LHs began to come out and start playing that was it for me. I think somehow I suddenly just become a part of the energy. There is nothing else that I seem to be aware of, sorry if I smacked, bumped, or crashed into anyone. They were so determined to make it a special show for us, that was obvious by the songs the choose and the order the played them and the other special things they did with story telling and guests. I think Marty's outfit was mostly new pieces. Of course he looked beautiful and breathtaking as usual. I know I was on my feet without break from 5:45 till 12:30, of course I wore those great looking bronze boots, LOL, because they looked good! I got to have a few moments with Marty, which to me are special beyond measure. Got a picture minus my lower lip and chin. LOL Also got to talk to Billy who I hadn't had a chance to talk to since Memphis in May, and took another pic w/o the fog. And then took pic with Dino, but only because he asked nicely. LOL We did not go down to the smart bar, probably should have but, I pretty much was ready to amputate my feet by then I think it was about 2:30. Sunday said good by to some who left that day. Went to the House of Blues Gospel Brunch, which was fantastic. Went sightseeing and later we went to China town. We had a fantastic meal, god that was great. We then went to a Karaoke place and just played and had a great time together. Monday was mostly tearful goodbyes. I had minor problems getting home very very late Monday night only to have to be at work by 8 Tuesday morning. At last count I met at least 35 new people HJ weekend add that to the approx 45 I have met at previous shows, WOW. About the only thing I love as much as Lovehammers are fangirls and Hammerheads. I can not wait for the next show. many OXOX's Sharon Next pictures

A helpful hint--if you right-click and save to your computer, they should save full size for better viewing. All I ask is that if you post them elsewhere, please leave my name on them. Roll 3 has the shirtless pics.........

Awesome, Nancy! Those are beautiful.
I'm so loving all of the reports. Shuckra, I am so there with you on the storytelling..it was mind blowing.
PS. Does anyone have HJ video clips? Someone at the LH boards mentioned it but I can't find them!

Hi all, I finally got some time to get back here and post some photos and memories. Before I get into that, I should tell you that about 350 pictures from Hammerjam just got posted on our website www.hotel45.com on the gallery page. There is some cool backstage stuff as well as some Lovehammers stage photos that maybe of interest to people on this site. One of our friends (Faraz) took this picture, which reminded me of the following memory: After our set, Marty was looking at the art work of our yet to be released CD. I had taken the cover photo for the album, it’s a bit controversial, and we had a lot of discussions among the band on should we use it or go with something a bit softer. Naturally what people will think of it is pretty important to me, specially the opinion of an established artist like Marty. Marty compared it to Dan’s previous CDs and said; “This is pretty dark”, “Dan, this is very different from your older CDs”. I was waiting for him to say something like; it may turn some people off. But, after a long pause he said: ”I really like it. It’s artistic. Can I have this copy?”. Which was a very kind complement. Being the kidder that I am, I said: “Do you have any money on you?”, He smiled and said ”no”. And I said: “I suppose we have to put it on your account.” and we all laughed a little. Here are some pictures I took at the show’s encore:

wow cool pix, kamran. I just love seeing things from a different perspective and will definitely check out your site, too. I laughed at the thought of Marty having no cash to pay for the CD -- why doesn't that surprise me?
Keep posting! Love it!

BTW, Kamran, when u were onstage my sister and I had a discussion about your jacket. I insisted it was a Chinese design --or is that a sign that I have lived in Hong Kong too long?
