I was so ecstatic when I read Marty's message stating that Asia is included in the LH & INXS tour. Now, I need help in finding out who to contact and ask if it's possible to squeeze in some time to let me organize a Lovehammers Asian Fan Tribute Night--if they pass by the Philippines. So calling all filipino rockers out there? I would need your help to organize this. Those who are willing to fly to Manila or Cebu, depending on where the concert is, is welcome to come. I won't organize a shindig that's too big. It will be intimate and full of surprises. So anyone out there know the most reliable contact to reach the Lovehammers? I haven't been successful using our Message Board here. I wrote Marty 2 PM's and got no response. I know he's busy. So who should I contact? Help. Help. Help. If I pull this off, it will be a night to remember forever and ever. Thanks!  |

I'm from Singapore and am also glad that the Lovehammers will be coming to Asia! I'm prepared to even go to Australia to see them. I think the best way to contact Marty would be sending them an airmail to their PO box. You can find it at the Marty Casey.Org web page. I've cut and paste it here for you:

Well, it's the holidays so I doubt I'll get a response through the Fan Mail. I mean, I sent Marty a X'mas card and 2 PM's here and I never got a response. I don't know anymore. Anyway, I'll just be happy if they pass by and play here in the Philippines. I emailed someone from the Street Team at lovehammersonline and she said that they have no control of where they get to play. The label is in charge. I bet you they will pass by Singapore and Hong Kong for sure. The Philippines often get bypassed by "big" bands. So, I have to prepare myself for the let down.

Lena, yeah it's exciting. I'm eagerly awaiting 2006!
Aphrodite, I heard that Marty has many admirers in the Philippines, so if you all go sign up on the street team map, the label might be persuaded to set up the concert in the Philippines. Or, you could try and get to Singapore or HK if they do stop there ;D

Am I beginning to look foolish for flying to Chicago to see them? I think not...It'll be a PARTY. Now, let's get the boys to Hong Kong. C'mon, even Oasis is playing here next month and Franz is coming too.
So glad that Dan offered help -- I was going to suggest that we contact him, maybe the fourth most pm-ed guy here!
And as Gaia put it, we are willing to travel, If it's Singapore, no problem -- I was there last weekend. Indonesia, Philippines, Oz -- fine, mates.
Rockbeast, Japan IS expensive, but you can always find cheap(er) places to stay and food to eat; the trickier bit will be getting tickets there. If/When the LH have details on this, we need to put our hammerheads together and help each other out in this regard.

Chk! Welcome back, hope you had a good time in Singapore. Yep, Oasis and Franz and the Backstreet Boys will be playing in Singapore so I really hope that the Lovehammers will do the same. The gals at the Aussie thread are planning a convention in a big way, thanks to dlh, an Aussie guest and one of the most energetic poster I have ever "met". Am hoping to meet them in Oz and down some chards for real! |
