Warning too..be careful what site you try to post an ad on. I clicked on one, and when the form page was supposed to come up...well..a naked guy came on. He was wearing a Christmas hat, boots, and had a handful of hay to cover what little wasn't showing of him...LOL...that wasn't good. Lucky my son wasn't in the room...oh, you think I never saw a naked guy...LOL...I didn't know what key to hit to make it go away. LOL Star, that was sooo funny ;D ; I'm not a pro, but I'm trying my best in ST, all my students and their parents got info from me about the cruise, looks like two of them are definitely going (their wedding anniversary, parents of course), I will try tomorrow in a local bookstore (I know the owner). Maybe that would help or at least made people familiar with the band name [/IMG]
That sounds like a great plan Iwo!! Good Luck!!! Hello Boston!!!

Cyberocn posted this : Cyberocn:Hi Everyone We just found out we can promote/advertise this event publically !!! YEAH !!!! I know everyone has been working hard to spread the word, and we deeply appreicate all your help We now have many other avenues open to us to promote this show. We have been given permission to advertise in newpapers, radio, flyers, posters, and pretty much everyway we normally street team a show. There are some very good flyers made up and can be found in this thread www.lovehammersforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=5473&start=15 If you prefer to make up your own flyer you can use one of these templates : www.lovehammersforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=177085&highlight=#177085 If you live near Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, IL, TN we can use your help street teaming regionally/locally (even if you do not live in these states we hope you will ST your local area). There are many BIG festival and concerts coming up !! These are Great opportunities to not only promote this show, but the Bands CD, DVD's, Merchandise, ect. TMany of these shows/festivals listed here in the Street teaming section. The Lovehammer ST is giving away a free vacation and the winner will be announced on the Hammercruise: lhfans.com/streetteam/supplies.html This would be a perfect time to hammer someone (friends and family) that have not yet been hammered !! If you have ideas for street teaming please post them. Spread the word, spread the LOVE, and lets ROCK the BOAT !! I put the ad in Google base...It should be up for googling in a hour. It will last for only 14 days, but it can be re-posted then. If you leave the ad up longer, then they charge per 'click' on the ad. I would rather go the free way and just re-post...

Who lives in the Louisville area? Here's a suggestion: 1. Get some matchbooks from Amy's ST Store: Click for matchbooks. She's got the prices really low! 2. Print out some of the latest flyers promoting the HammerCruise. 3. Put up the flyers at Louisville clubs/bars (with permission) and leave the matchbooks at the bar and on tables. Especially hit up Phoenix Hill, where Lh played last summer. Who can do this?

This posted from Cyberocn (Kelly) on the LH board:
Hi Everyone,
I need a really big favor to ask from some fo my friends. I sent an email to some of you, but did not have everyones email so thought I would also post this here.
So many of you have been just awesome in helping to promote the HC, and words cannot begin to express how much you all mean to me, how much I love you, and how much I appreciate all your help.
Time is running out and we are only 1/2 way to our goal
I think we have killed myspace and the forums with promo... People have the info, and I do not feel there is much more that will benefit from the constant promotion in these areas. In fact, I worry it may turn people off.
Me, and a few others have been focusing on online advertising the past few days, and that has resulted in several tickets sale... WHO HOO !!
I think that if we can look into Newspaper, Radio, TV, local online advertising and any other kinds of local/regional promo (and out of state promo too) this could be a huge help. Many of these avenues can be done for FREE and done online.
Mary suggested an all out media BLITZ, which I think is a GREAT idea. This would not only help for this event, but could help the band in general (which i think the band could really use right now).
If this is something you maybe able to help or if anyone has any other suggestions, idea, ect please let me know or post them
It is just too much for me to handle on my own
I could also really use a couple people to help with organizing any volunteers to help organize people, keep track of what is being done, and what has been done.
If you would like to help please let me know... I know some of you dont have much time, but ANY help (no matter how big or small) is deeply appreciated.
(hammerhugs)) Kelly
P.S. I thought maybe we could could start a thread to help organize, but then again, maybe it would be better to do it behind the scenes, thru emails, pm's and in chat ?? _________________ Click on the link below to ORDER your tickets and reserve your spot !!

102.3 The Max FM in Louisville passed on a ticket giveaway. I really wasn't expecting them to bite anyway, since no radio station in Louisville has ever played LH, much to my dismay. I felt like it was worth a try. I hope ticket sales are going well. Hopefully, the All Ages addition will help ticket sales.
