Such a great weekend. I ended up doing a "girls weekend" with my cousin and our two 14 year old girls(actually Ashley won't be 14 until the end of the month). We went to the Falls in the afternoon and than got to the festival around 6:30. Everyone wanted to wait until closer to 8 but I knew better. There were two fenced in sections in the yard. The main section, in front of the stage, was the beer tent section where you had to be of age to get in. To the side there was a family or kid section. We ended up with the third row in the kid section. We saw Scott and Jodi and their kids. There were a lot of other little Hammerheads there as well. All the kids I saw were very well behaved and very patient. Ashley was finally able to get her picture with Marty(I just have to check with my cousin before I post that picture since her daughter is in it as well). Thanks Jodi for letting us know that Marty was taking time to get pictures with the fans. After the girls got their picture taken we sat down and five minutes later they were up. Ashley wanted her arm signed. She ended up with a flyer and Emily and her got Marty's autograph. After the show we tried to find the Merch table but it was in the beer tent so we didn't try to get in. Marty did come out and gave Ashley a huge hug. The girls loved the show...especially Marty...and are trying to get to a Lovehammer show as soon as they can. Unfortunately we have plans on the July 8th so can't make it to Summer fest and August 11th for Market Days. Hopefully we will have more Lovehammer dates soon. It was a great show...biggest surprise for me was Ty Taylor. No Mohawk I didn't recognized him at all...didn't know it was him until they announced him on stage. The women were all beautiful. Storm's hair reminded me of "Something about Mary" especially the front. Here are some of my best pictures. Hope you enjoy. Hanging out before show. Marty taking time with the fans. Mr. Ty Taylor Storm Large Dilana Take Me Out. End of Marty's set. Marty, Suzie and Ty Sweet Suzie McNeil

Okay, here is my review. Not so much a review of the Rockstar show as a review of the first time my kids got to meet Marty and see him perform - so here goes: This was a great trip! It was the first time that I was bringing my kids and even though we weren’t seeing Lovehammers, but just Marty and the other Rockstars, we were all very happy to go. My kids were a bit nervous that they WOULD actually get to meet Marty, and they were a bit nervous that they WOULD NOT get to meet Marty. Of course, there was no guarantee either way, so I just tried to make sure they were having as much fun as kids can have being dragged along on a trip. Since the venue had the drinking section divided from the section for anyone with kids, so we had to go to the left side of the stage in the family area. We got there early enough to get right up front, and actually, our view was totally unobstructed. The only bad part (for picture taking purposes) was the fact that we were so far off the left. Once we staked out a spot, Scott took my older son to go get some food. I had a feeling that they shouldn't leave, but they were hungry. They were barely gone 5 minutes when Marty came out. I was holding T up so he could see Marty talking to everyone in the other section and he kept saying "That's Marty Casey?" I told him yes, just wait and maybe he'll get to meet him. We waited and Yak turned around to let me know that Marty would be coming over. Since Marty had been informed that I was on the other side of the fence with the kids and that they were waiting (nervously) to meet him, when he walked over he said to T - are you Q or T? My son was so funny. His tone indicated that he was incensed that anyone would mix them up, and promptly stated that he was T. We had a quick conversation about how Scott and Q had JUST left and they were going to be so upset, but Marty reassured me that he would be hanging around in a little bit and he could come over then. My son was a little chatter box with Marty. T just kept talking, telling Marty about the piano, and about his muscles (my kiddo was making arm muscles for him) and then he asked Marty why he makes the "rock on" sign with him hands. Marty said it was just something he does. Then T added that his brother always makes the "peace" sign. Marty said that's cool. We need more peace in the world. Marty signed something for my kids, then he moved along. He assured me that he would be out and about again in a little while. A few minutes later Scott called to see what we were up to. I told him that T just got to talk to Marty. My other son was crushed! Shortly after Marty finished chatting with everyone and went backstage, Scott and Q got back with Wendy's burgers, and Tic Tac’s. Q was so upset that he lost his appetite and was on the verge of crying. Thankfully, just as I was trying to convince him that he would get his chance in a little while, Marty came out from backstage just enough for Q to see him. I told him that I thought Marty was just taking care of some stuff and hanging out and then he would come out so we could talk to him. This convinced Q enough for him to be able to eat. A little time later, Marty came over to the left of where we were for a photo shoot being taken by one of the sponsors of the show. After Marty was done with that, we were able to go get in line for Q's big moment. He was grinning from ear to ear when Marty turned around to talk to him. Marty said, you must be Q - you were off riding rides when I was out earlier, oh wait, no, you were eating with your dad. Q said yes. Marty made a fist for Q to fist back at (I don't know what this is called. lol - Potato comes to mind) I got a pic of them. Q later told me that he was sorry for not having a great smile in the pic but he was too nervous and excited. I told him the smile was perfect, that it captured how he was feeling at that moment! Scott got his moment too. Scott put his hand out to shake Marty's hand and Marty did a double take and exclaimed "Wow, those are some really big hands." Scott got a laugh out of that because Marty said the same thing to him in Cleveland. After we had our visit with Marty, we stood around for a little while just watching Marty chatting with other fans. It wasn't long before I started taking pics for people who’s cameras weren't working or for those who didn't have one with them. It certainly was my pleasure to take pics for so many people with Marty. Kate started handing out flyers so people started lining up for Marty to sign them, but Marty didn't have a sharpie. I ran back to my purse and got a silver and a black one, and then the line got longer yet because now people wanted their stuff signed as well. Somewhere in there, after Marty had been visiting with fans for awhile, T went up to Marty and asked if he wanted some Tic Tac's. T had put a few in his hand and was offering them. Marty smiled and said something like "What? Are you telling me I need a mint? Is my breath bad?" (all said with a very charming smile). My T said "Oh, No! No! I just thought you would like a mint." Marty said "Sure" and took the mints out of his hand and ate them. Also somewhere in there, Marty was entertaining a group of kids by showing them one American dime and one Canadian dime and asking them which would be heads and which would be tails. He flipped them and they both landed in his beer! Not sure if they were ever retrieved or not. My kids made friends with Beth's son so they all ran around a bit and burned off some energy before the Rockstars started. This will be an important detail later in the story! I went back to sit down because the crowd was getting larger and I wanted to keep claim of our spot. Finally, the opening band was done and Ty came out. I decided that I was just far enough away that pics weren't going to come out, so I only took one pic of each rockstar. The setlist has already been summarized by others so I will only add the details of my story. When Storm came out next, she was wearing a very low-cut top and at certain points you could see quite a bit of her breast. At one point when she was singing Suffragette City she had her arms in the air and she was doing a knock kneed walk and there was a good view of her breast showing. I felt a frantic tug on my sleeve. I looked down and T was tugging on me and pointing (like a child making a gun with their hand) at Storm and said "now you don't see THAT everyday!" I was laughing so hard that I almost choked! Then later in her performance she was talking about her band "The Balls." The expression on Q's face when he figured out what "The Balls" was referring to was just priceless. Finally, Marty came on. My kids were so excited, but a bit tired. Marty came on at about 10:40 and finished at 11pm. By this time they were sitting down watching on the big TV screen right above us. I was video taping Marty's part since I figured the pictures weren't going to come out anyway, so I was watching Marty on the stage to make sure the camera was on him. Suddenly, T yells "OMG! MARTY CASEY'S BUTT CRACK IS ON THE TV!" ;D I couldn't see it from where he was on the stage and by the time I took my eyes off the stage and looked at the TV screen, it was done and over with. My son just kept saying over and over, I can't believe I saw Marty Casey's butt crack. Little does he know how many times we have seen it, but I am not sure it has ever been broadcast so largely and so up close on a TV monitor before. When Marty was done and Dilana came on, Q was ready to go. He thought we were only staying until Marty came on. He was sooooooo tired. I tried to sit down and let him lay on me, but my legs were too uncomfortable sitting on the ground so I let him rest on the backpack. Would you believe he fell asleep, right there under the speaker!?!?! Yes, he had ear plugs in, but that doesn't even begin to drown out the sound when you are so close. T made it till the end. After the show, we waiting for the crowd to thin out a bit and then woke Q up before heading back to the hotel.
