I'm in! Not sure of exactly how or when I'm going up. These are only details to work out. I love Monterey and Carmel. Hoping I can have a bit of time to hang out there either before or after the show.

Here's some info from the Summer of Love site: www.summer67.com/ -FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE- SAN FRANCISCO BASED I.E. ARTISTS GROUP WILL PRESENT THE “MONTEREY SUMMER OF LOVE FESTIVAL” TO BE HELD ON THE EXACT SAME STAGE AS THE 1967 MONTEREY POP FESTIVAL JULY 28TH & 29TH, 2007. RIDERS ON THE STORM AND JEFFERSON STARSHIP TO HEADLINE. CBS’ ROCKSTAR SUPERNOVA/INXS ALUMNI ALSO SCHEDULED TO PERFORM Monterey, CA. June 21, 2007 - Five of the original acts who performed at the ‘67 Monterey Pop Festival, Jefferson Starship, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Big Brother and the Holding Company featuring Cathy Richardson of “Love Janis” fame, The Electric Flag and the Grateful Dead's Tom Constanten have been confirmed. Headlining the event is RIDERS ON THE STORM featuring Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek of THE DOORS with new front man Brett Scallions formerly of “Fuel”. JUST ADDED! ...to include a youthful presence to the festival as promised, festival director Andrew Hernandez has booked Alumni from CBS' popular TV competition, ROCKSTAR Supernova/INXS featuring the house band and Star performers Marty Casey, Storm Large, Ty Taylor, Dilana and Lukas Rossi the winner of the Supernova series! Hernandez wants to attract the surging young activists from around the World. “The Parallels of 1967 and 2007 are surreal”, says Hernandez. “We have to get today's youth out from behind their text messaging and Play Stations long enough to create something meaningful and beautiful-we need to get them involved in the struggles of humanity.” Other young, up and coming acts performing are “The Fast Camels” from the UK and Geffen recording artists “Price”. Also added is Alam Khan , son of the world famous Ali Akbar Khan who performs the north Indian classical music also popularized by Ravi Shankar during the 60's and at Monterey in '67. The festival taking place at the Monterey County Fairgrounds, will celebrate the 40 th Anniversary of six major music events of 1967. The Summer of Love, The Monterey Pop Festival, the release of the Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Album, The Doors ‘Light My Fire', the musical “Hair” and the birth of Pink Floyd. Along with Riders On The Storm performing a long list of Doors hits are Carlton Poward as Jimi Hendrix, Second Flyte as The Byrds, The Sun Kings performing The Beatles Sgt. Peppers album with an orchestra, songs from the hit '67 musical “Hair” performed by the Stagelight Troupe with some original cast members and The Floyd Project, a tribute to Pink Floyd, so all 40 th anniversaries are represented with a live performance! Also scheduled to perform from the 60's are David LaFlamme and the music of It's a Beautiful Day, and some surprise guests. Other tribute acts include The Mamas and the Papas, The Who, Led Zeppelin and Steppenwolf performed by San Francisco 's Summer of Love Revue. The Unauthorized Rolling Stones and The RaveUps a Yardbirds tribute. TO HONOR VETERANS and BABYBOOMERS the general festival will be free to those showing Military/Veterans ID or ID confirming age of at least 50. This free entrance is to the general festival, second stage, attractions and exhibits but does not include entrance to the main arena performances. The event will also feature exhibits of '60s memorabilia, including arts and crafts and appearances of famous poster artists such as Lee Conklin, Cactus Pete, and Grant from SF Rock Posters among other notables. For more information or interviews and tickets, check out www.summer67.com or contact Andrew Hernandez – Festival Director at director@summer67.com or Publicist Wendy Brickman at – brickman@brickmanmarketing.com.

Aaahhhhh....1967 the summerof love 2007 You all know the song - "If you're going to San Fran-cisco be sure to wear" Do we think Marty will wear flowers in his hair? I wouldn't be surprised! I've always seen the hippie in him. ;D

Hey everyone. I'm new to the forum. I'm actually a really big fan of Marty's and especially of Jordis. I went to the show this weekend and got a lot of really good pics. I emailed Amy so I can post them in the fan gallery but I was just making sure that's what I need to do. Also I'd love to swap pics with whoever went. My camera decided to be funky and a lot of my Jordis pics are blurry so if anyone has any could they please pass them my way and I'd be more than happy to share what pictures I have. Out of all 5 performers I have close to 200 pics.

I'd love to. Marty was amazing. Like a dork I've never seen him live before so when I saw him yesterday I was blown away. He has such stage presence and I finally got to see him do his mad conductor. He was all over the stage which was great except for when I was trying to get some pics of him. Then I was like Marty stay still already!!! Anyhow is that the best way to share pics on here is by putting it in the gallery or is there a thread to do so? Oh and I guess you guys would want to know he played three songs the first one being Trees then Wish You Were Here and then he played some old song called Monterey which I had never heard before and to think I live so close too...the shame!

I'm downsizing the pics right now then I'll post them on here...it was hard getting pics of him since he's all over the stage so I found a lot of them to be blurry. But I've still got quite a few good ones that I'll post in just a sec.
