 Hey everyone! Heres my review of the Northalsted Market Days Concert! My mom and I watched a band by this guy that looked allot like Vin Diesal fisrt he was really good, does anyone remember his name? But then we went to stand a little furthur, and got to meet all out fellow hammerheads! And being a street teamer I passed out most of my LH Teen club stuff. Then we al had to suffer through this other guy singer, wow it was interesting! During his performance I could see Dino under the stage laughing so hard at him, I though that was funny. The Lovehammers came out about 6:50, The songs they sang where: Clouds Trees Throw my head Ring of fire Clinic Eyes cant see Summertime Lets get wasted Straight as an arrow Call of Distress Hold on Say your sorry The Tunnel Give it up The Riddle And Mig sang Paint it black I loved when they sang clouds, Marty decided to climb up the 3 decker speakers and just sit up there and tell us all about his freinds, and the train that went 'Chugging allong' that was interesting. There was a moment during clouds where Marty sang the end of the verse loud and his face ahowed sadness, it was a cool moment. During Trees we all held up our posters (make rock not war), and all sang allong, then Marty brought out all of his nieces, and they got to sing allong with Trees. Haha, yeah and in Lets get wasted, we were taught how to sing allong with it, "We write songs for the thinkers" I loved the Energy on This Town, its one of my favorite songs, and if i rmember right thats the song we had the screaming contest to, and our side totally won! There where some great moments, where Marty would go all out in the mad conductor, and just rock out, while Billy Shredded on his guitar! Marty also got to jump down and run to the back of the crawd, to get them pumped up, all the while, while Billy took center stage, and gave us all a huge face melter! amazing! Eyes cant see was great, "my eyes, my eyes"! Mig was okay, But i would rather have Marty sing! Near the end they came back out and Sang Summeritme in the City, very fitting, great song. All an all I loved the chicago area, and all the hammerheads there were great!, O, and near the end, Someone threw an empty beer container on stage, and Billy proceeded to put it on his head and keep it on while playing! and he did! After the show, all LH came out and signed, but it as a huge mass of people, no line:(,So i olny got to have Marty sign my poster and cards, I just introduced myself, and got a Marty hug, I really wanted to Find dino and say Happy Birthday, but there were so many people there, and i had a hour train ride back to the hotel. But a fantastic show, I wish i could go do it al again now! It was just pure happiness, standing in front of the stage, surronded by the people that understand you! All our fists in Unison!

Chelsea I'm so glad you had such a great time and I was there to experience that with you! Your face was priceless when Dino did that and was so cool! I also am still on cloud 9 along with you! I suck at reivews but can tell you the boys rocked it hard and was awesome to hear the audience participation and see the fun the boys were having! Loved the bonus of seeing Matt perform with them and the special appearance of Mig singing with them!  BEST MOMENT FOR ME............SUMMERTIME IN THE CITY!  I couldn't believe what my ears were hearing, it couldn't have been more perfect time to hear it. On sunday when a bunch of us were coming back from millenium park as we drove down lakeshore drive they started singing the song. This day will forever be imbedded in my mind! I really don't know how it is possible for them to make each show better than the last one, but they do! i have been to countless shows and each one i walk away with different/special memory! If you've never been to a show......... YOU GOTTA GO, GUAREENTEE YOU'LL COME BACK FOR MORE! (I meet someone this weekend who saw them for the first time and is now hooked ) THANK YOU LOVEHAMMERS ONCE AGAIN FOR PUTTING ON A GREAT SHOW! My brain and body are still recupping so i may have missed some things, so if i do i will post later. |
