hey are now down to #69, which is my favorite number btw. Not for sales it isn't though. naughty! right now, at 8:40 est, jan. 29, the cd is at #67 in music -- seems to be fluctuating a little. anyone know what it peaked at (in this general music category)? anyone remember what "switch" peaked at? |

For what it's worth I posted a 5-star rating on Amazon and went thru all the others - where it asks if the rating is helpful, I said "yes" to all the 5-stars and No to any rated less than 5 - don't know how they get the overall rating - positive (5-star) ratings far outweigh negative ones in quantity - but hope this action helps. Here's what I wrote: Coming from someone who's favs in music run to Don McLean and Joshua Kadison rather than rock bands - there is just something about the music of Marty Casey and Lovehammers on this CD and their previous body of work that is absolutely thrilling!! It's moved me to get out of my day-to-day rut and dance and sing and enjoy life like I haven't done in way too long. This album. . . this band. . . will change people's lives!! |

The best I saw it last week was Top Sellers #25 and #7 in Rock category. Right now on Amazon Canada it is #17 in Best Sellers. Last night it was #11!!! In the Rock category tonight on amazon.com it is #40. On the radio charts for Rock it is being played on 6 stations and is at #7 with the most spins of all CDs this week. I think the stations are Chicago, Cleveland, Philly, and I can't remember the others.The sales numbers fpr the week should be released I believe either tomorrow or Tuesday morning. I will let everyone know when I see it.

Did you see that someone gave the cd two stars and said that all the songs sounded the same? The very same person rated Gay Aiken's cd a five star. I don't know how anyone that is a fan of pop music can make a statement like that. Not only do the songs on pop albums all sound the same, but all of pop music pretty much sounds the same to me.

I have a feeling the "gay" aiken rater is a JD lover too. I checked her other reviews and she's only rated the two cd's. Another JD fan just gave our LH a one star review and gave the INXS album a five star review. RS: INXS was definitely a mixed blessing. On the one hand, you have true rock fans that discovered a fantastic band. OTOH, you have all those reality tv watching, Ashlee Simpson loving, pop fans that wanted to see another American Idol and would be disappointed with anything other than Marty doing songs that could've been easily sold to Clay Aiken. I don't like JD one bit and I'm not a big fan of the new album either, but I purposely didn't review their cd because I wasn't going to post a negative review. I reported the girl, but I don't know that they'd do anything because because you can't give a reason why they should be reported. I'm sure that Amazon isn't aware of the so-called fued between JD and Marty fans. |

You know.. I'm two nights away from seeing the INXS/LH show and the closer it gets, the less I want to see it. I always thought that JD was a punk, but I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. From what I've seen of his attitude in interviews and the attitude of his fans, I think I'm going to have to become an ex-inxs fan until they sever their relationship with JD.

I reported this and would suggest you do that also. If this is true it is sooo wrong... as a INXS fan who also likes Marty... I'll go over and add a 5 star review to make up for that fan at 448. The Fortune488 site does have some negative Marty talk... but on the other INXS fan sites I'm on, the Marty fans and INXS/JD fans are very respectful and get along great. I wanted you to know there are lots of INXS fans that have had only great thing to say about Marty's new CD and have talked about how much they loved seeing him in concert. |
