Hi Everyone!!

Sorry it's been ages since I've been here, so first let me apologize for that. But, I am bearing great news!!

Wanda from Team MiG was at the gig tonight and she spent time with Marty before and after the gig and will be posting her recap at Team MiG tomorrow along with a little surprise from Marty!!

I'm sure she'll stop by here and post tomorrow too!!

But, she did say I could give a little recap.

He did alot of stuff from Rockstar:

Mr. Brightside, Lithium, I Alone, Wish You Were Here, Hit Me Baby One More Time, and Trees. But he also did some of his songs like Clouds and Hold On.

She said he was amazing, of course and REALLY interacted with the audience.

And, he got his haircut!! There are pictures.

Hey everyone at Marty Casey.org I know I'm behind the times in registering but I'm here now. Last night was several firsts for me. No, it wasn't the first time I had seen Marty perform but it was the first time I'd ever been to the Monkey Bar so I had no idea what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was once I got inside. We had a very intimate crowd (intimate = small) mainly because there was a huge country music show at the civic arena just two blocks away (CMT on Tour with Sugarland and others). Not my cup of tea. I'm someone who always tries to be early when I'm going someplace I've never been before and the Monkey Bar was no exception. I ended up getting there 2 hours before showtime thinking the start time was supposed to be 8 instead of 9. The doorman took pity on a single female and invited me into the club so I didn't have to wait outside for an hour and a half for the doors to open by myself. He told me to go have a seat at the bar and he'd let me know when the ticket window was open. I had prepurchased my ticket the day before so I didn't have to get in that line either. When I sat down at the bar it took a few minutes for me to realize that Marty was doing his sound check. I didn't recognize him at first because he was wearing a hat AND he'd had a haircut since I saw him in Chicago in August.

After his sound check, Marty came up to the bar where I was sitting, startled me because I wasn't expecting it, and promptly commented on my t-shirt. I had a picture that was taken at Market Days in Chicago of Marty and MiG on the t-shirt. We had a nice little conversation and I gave him a little photo album I had put together of pictures from Market Days. He found one picture in it that he particularly liked and thanked me for giving the pictures to him.

He thanked me for coming to the show and I told him I was representing Team MiG for many of the Marty fans there who could see the show. I took a deep breath and asked if he would mind doing a little mini interview for Team MiG after the Meet and Greet following the show. And he agreed. He asked immediately if I had video access and I showed him my video camera. We weren't allowed to do video of the show so my camera was in my bag until Marty was ready to do the interview. I have to apologize for how dark the video is but that little corner of the bar was the only place quiet enough and with just enough light that the camera would pick it up for us to do the video.

I just checked the link to the video and it went right in. I'll sign out and back in to see if I can get the error to come up. If there's still a problem I'll post another link that should work.

Please accept my apologies for the first link I posted not working. I forgot that I had set the video viewing option on You Tube for that video to private. I've made it public now so that should clear that problem up. If it still doesn't work let me know and I'll see what else I can do.
