The show at the lighthouse was awesome! All of the opening bands were really good. I really liked a guy named Gary B. During Gary’s performance he wanted to know who was most excited to see Marty Casey. Heidi won and got to play a cowbell on stage during his next song. That was pretty cool.
Marty sounded amazing. He came on around 11:30ish and he started off with Mr. Brightside. I don't remember the whole set list, but he did play Hold On, Call of Distress, a couple lines from Merry Christmas (All Year Long), Wish You Were Here, Baby One More Time, I Alone, The Tunnel, and 2 new songs Just Go and Skinny White Guitar. In between songs, he asked for song requests and questions. At one point, a girl asked if she could have his hat for her 13th b-day. He said no but asked if she wanted his sock instead. She said sure so he took off his shoe, got his sock off, and tried to throw it at her. It happened to land right in my face! Haha, it was kinda gross. He closed the set with Trees and told everyone that they could come up and dance. Overall the show was very intimate.
After the show he did a meet and greet. I got about a 5 minute conversation with him, which was pretty cool. I gave him an x-mas present, got a picture signed and got about 20 pics with him. It was kinda funny because I think he was a little tipsy. At one point he picked me up to take “glamour shots” and when he put me down, he almost dropped me and we both kind of lost our balance for a couple seconds.
After that, we couldn’t get a taxi to get a ride back to the hotel so we ended up being there till almost 4AM.

Hi everyone,

I sadly missed the show at Mr Smalls but made it to the Lighthouse. I was so excited to finally see him live with or without the lovehammers (cant wait to see them) for the first time. No silly snow/ice storm was gonna stop me lol. Turns out it was nothing but rain for my trip. Not so for other people I'm sure. Hope everyone made it home safe.

But anyway ya you know it, he rocked! I had a freaking blast! Not only is he talented he is such a cool guy. I thought that was nice he answered questions & took requests from the fans, very cool. Then later I had the pleasure of talking to him personally ahhhhhhh Im still on my Marty high. I am smittin. He is so gorgeous, super friendly & sincere. He really does appreciate his fans. I was amazed at how much time he spent with each one. Got a picture of him & one with him & some during the show ...I hope they turn out. I have a crapy camera, its hit or miss. I will post them as soon as I get them developed ...after xmas.

I must also say to all you hammerheads & hammercrew.....you guys great. I met quite a few people. It was nice to meet you Debbie & CC if you see this. I was also talking with Gary B's mom ...so funny. Hope to see you again at the next show.
