Hi Cindy,
I just tried to get that article and upon arriving at the site, it said the article had expired. Did I do something wrong? I put the address in the browser as asked.

RUNNER-UP Marty Casey narrowly missed out being the next lead singer of INXS, but don't feel too bad for the intense 31-year-old real estate appraiser.
The band invited him and his own group, The Lovehammers, to be the opening act for its upcoming world tour.
Casey told TNP over the phone from Los Angeles: 'When they announced JD won, I was bummed because I thought I had it 100 per cent.
'But now my perception has changed completely. The universe gave me exactly what I needed the most.'
Along the way, he gained the love of many female fans, and claims to have received indecent propositions, mysterious hotel keys and phone numbers, and girls stripping half-naked in front of him.
In fact, Casey is so popular that the Filipino female journalists at the same teleconference were reduced to a screaming band. Serious questions about his career and craft were interrupted by random outbursts like 'Do you have a girlfriend?'.
Highly amused, Casey chuckled: 'I don't have a girlfriend.'
Hysterical whoops and applause followed.
And who is the lucky girl he sings about in Trees, Casey's infectious original pop-rock ditty which he premiered on Rock Star: INXS and will be releasing as a single?
He joked: 'Luckily for me, she kicked me out of her apartment and told me to figure out what kind of man I was.'

Maybe she is but I would think it would take a special kind of woman to put up with all of those screaming women stripping half n@k#d for him. I would think it would be scary even. They would probably push her out of the way just to get to him. Some of the things I have read on the INXS Rockstar site are pretty crazy.  |

Hmmm...I don't remember anything so crazy when the show was actually on on the msn board...but then I haven't there since the show ended.
But if M. deserved to be kicked out, or wasn't ROIT for her, then she must have done the best thing for her life.
It is, after all, only their business, and the remark I made was totally tongue-in-cheek. I totally respect M.'s privacy (even if he will have less and less as he become more and more famous) and would absolutely hate him becoming tabloid fodder.
But then again, it's nothing he has control about. When the machine sets in motion....Yikes!

i keep telling you guys that not everyone here in Asia was a Mig fan -- Marty lit up the screens worldwide. And here we are weeks after RS:INXS and i swear he was a topic at lunch yesterday!

Oooh I could hit myself over the head. The New Paper is published in Singapore and I live in Singapore. And I buy the New Paper. But of all days, today's the day I didn't buy it. Thanks Cindy for spotting that one. Am going to see if I can get an actual copy.
Agree with Chk that not everyone in Asia is solely a Mig fan. My sisters and I are all fans of Marty (and yeah one of them is also a Mig fan). Funny though I haven't come across anyone else in my circle that's even heard of RS INXS! Maybe I should move in a different circle.

I don't believe that he's single. I've read sources that say he's not. Even if his GF is on-again, off-again, I'm betting she's on-again now.
Anyone else read anything about the GF. Supposedly named xxx.

Again, Cindy & I respectfully ask you to please stop the speculation on Marty's love life. His personal love life is actually none of our business. Whether he's married, engaged, in a committed relationship, single, celibate, I don't care - I'm still a Marty fan!
There are more fun things to talk about - his music being #1....and of course, the squee!

. lol... and the Filipina journalists were picked from the bunch!!!! ;D it's nice to know that many of my fellow Filipinos are fans of marty as i am.... hello justafan!!!! you're very lucky to have someone in school to talk to about RS:INXS/MC fanaticism, for that is so not my case... it seems like i have noone to talk to about this show except my family, and they are getting tired of my rambling already... so i guess forums/boards are my only outlet... |

Well, I'm from Indonesia. In another Indonesian forum I've met more Marty's fans than Mig's or even J.D's.
Even in my office... most rockstar viewer love marty more than other candidates.
