The St. Paul Pioneer Press: Snark Alert

I am subbed to Google News Alerts and Yahoo!'s too and anybody else that does them.... this article hit me this morning and it just totally cracked me up when I read it.

It was in the St. Paul Pioneer Press on an event calendar type page:

ROCK: INXS

Friday: Curiosity surely has something to do with the lack of tickets available for this gig, the first local INXS concert to feature the band's new lead singer, JD Fortune. The 32-year-old former Elvis impersonator from Canada won the position by competing on the little-watched but much-discussed reality TV series "Rock Star: INXS." Marty Casey, the show's Miss Congeniality, opens the evening with his band Lovehammers. 8 p.m.; Orpheum Theatre, 910 Hennepin Ave., Mpls.; sold out; 651-989-5151.

That Miss Congeniality part just cracked my totally up!! They obviously meant it to be snarky....but the worst thing they could find to comment about Marty was that all the others seemed to like him the best.

That isn't the first time I've seen it, too.

The other thing that made me laugh is the blurb for the Lovehammers at the MSN Music download site -

" The darling of "Rock Star:INXS";back with his old band and a new album. Buy the album today.

Huh? - I would've given that title to Suzie.

I saw that, too, Radioclash! They make him sound like Carrie Underwood or something. Sheesh.
