Woooohoooo!
I e-mailed this radio station right before the original 2/3 concert that was cancelled. They talked about RS each week last summer. I thought they might be interested. I e-mailed them back the next day saying that the concert was postponed, so they had more time to set this up. I gave them the McGhee e-mail info. They e-mailed me back and cc'd the producer, letting me know they were very interested and thought that Marty got ripped off. I told them I think it all worked out in the end and if they saw the Lovehammers perfom they would understand.
I told Marty this at the Virgin store in Chicago and he also seemed really interested. He wanted to know the details of what all was said and kept asking me questions. I'm like - dude, I can barely think while standing in your presence and now you want me to recount what all was said. LOL
I hadn't heard anything, but my SIL called me and let me know my efforts paid off cause she heard the promo and knew that I had contacted them.
So cool, I'm glad I could get them some promotion.

I have this posted on the front of the site and started listening in on their station and have heard the promo twice...plus it is posted on the tune in page of the site. So WOO HOO! We'll have Marty in the morning.

Guys, I have to tell you that being live on the radio is the LAST THING in the world I would have expected today. I never intended to be on that show. Here is the comedy of errors that lead to this trainwreck:
I got up and tuned in and noticed it was about 15 or so mins until the thing was to start. I wanted to contact the station to get permission to post the interview on the site....so I went to their contact page. They didn't have email addresses posted; they had this online contact form....so I filled it out, explaining who I was and what I wanted. Click.... poof the form is broken and won't take my entry. So I try again, very carefully filling out all the fields. Click. It still won't work. OK, Fine, I think. So I pick up my cell phone and call them to ask if we can post the interview and find out exactly what time he will be on. Well, the next thing I knew I am on the air and you heard how weird that was. I was on my cell phone and could barely hear anything...... and it made me LATE for work..... which totally sucked. No way could I tell the office where I was really and why I was late LOL!
Oh, well.... at least I got to say hi to Marty!

Cindy, I thought you all were great. You provided the entertainment until Marty called in.
I was getting a little nervous that he wasn't going to call. I'm so glad he did. But, it was fun listening to you all. Thanks for keeping us entertained while we waited for Marty.

I cannot listen to this interview from the link on mc.org homepage. It gets me to the stations home page, but I can't find where to listen to it. Can anyone help? I registered there thinking it would give me access, but I still can't find where to listen to the interview?? |

...well, enquiring minds want to know these things... ;D That was wild...I called them because I couldn't get the broadcast to load...they were like omg...New Zealand...hey presto I had a hotline number...that show rocks!!! And Marty sounded so sexy and so funny...  |

Way to go Cindy and Palari! Just listened and you guys sound so cool considering you were both thrown in the deep end. Cute accents too! Hammerhead babes are some handful. Marty was having a great time! Cool to hear Gina, Alix and MarieinVa there as well.
That was not a train wreck, but it was pretty crazy. So fanatstic to get that interview jomarti, brilliant.
