While it is in our nature to be suspicious of these things, we have had friends in the past try out for various backing bands prior to national tours. Granted, these tryouts are usually arranged by agents and are selected from a pool of proven professional talent, but every once in a while a massive national tryout does lure in the occasional exceptional talent. (Yes, Mr. Marty “I’m a sexy Chicagoan” Casey, we are looking your way and finally giving you some props.)
