1. A 5 out of 5 review of the new CD: entertainmentworld.us/EW1/templates/rockmusicreviews.aspx?articleid=6863&zoneid=28 The debut album from the runner up of the hit TV show Rockstar: INXS showcases his talent and shows why he made it down to the final two people vying to be the front man of INXS. The song he broke on the show "Trees" explodes in a musical fury with the assistance of his band. His vocals are amazing as they spew out simplistic yet realistic lyrics and a brilliant guitar solo added in only ads to the listening pleasure. The collection of eleven tracks we get on the album are purely fantastic. "Clinic" is what they put on by switching up the techniques and styling starting you off nice and slow and then getting chaotic. The mixing of tempos is superb and will have you guessing what's coming up next throughout the track. Heavy driven acoustic guitar and lofty vocals take you out with "Clouds" a light and relaxing musical spectacle. We have seen this young man grow as a musician as we followed him on the show. This album proves how much he grew in his field and how much he really is musically inclined. To top it off, he's gone one step above JD in the fact he isn't in a superstar rock band, he's developing his own. Review -Geoff Dellinger 2. Lumino Magazine www.luminomagazine.com/mw/content/view/1105/4An odd review of the Chicago show, but there's 2 good photos of Billy & Marty. Thanks Jen for another great review. It is wonderful that she recognizes the importance of the other band members in making the songs so memorable. I can see why she can not get The Tunnel out of her mind. It blew me away the first time that I heard it too and made me a true Lovehammers fan. Den

Short but Sweet review of the CD! www.northernexpress.com/editorial/music.asp?id=1689Marty Casey & Lovehammers - Marty Casey & Lovehammers - Sony Music The aforementioned J.D. Fortune wasn’t the only one to benefit from “Rock Star INXS.” Singer-songwriter Marty Casey - although he came up second in the “becoming INXS’ lead singer” competition - impressed judges, viewers, and Sony Music execs so much that he both snagged a record contract and tour for himself and his band, and gained a legion of Lovehammers fans. Casey has terrific control of his very expressive voice, and that shows on this first major-label set of Lovehammers songs, which range from heavy, all-out modern rockers to more sensitive and equally ear-catching slower numbers. Highlights of the disc include “Straight as an Arrow,” the pretty “Clouds,” the peppy “The Riddle,” and the original song that Casey debuted on the “Rock Star INXS” show - namely, “Trees,” the quirky alt-pop single that just won’t leave your brain. This is a band to keep an eye on.

From malay mail online. april 4, 2006 report on RS:2 auditions in Asia. It notes that of those who tried out, 3 got called back, all Malaysian.
Here's a good paragraph about what they sang, quoting Sam Gollestani of Mark Burnett productions:
“We also had some classic Led Zepplin tracks, and a couple of people sang Pretty Vegas by J.D Fortune (last year’s Rock Star: INXS winner) and Trees by Marty Casey (Rock Star: INXS finalist), which really shows the great response the first season got here.”

Here's two more CD reviews to add to the archives: www.sportspageweekly.com/article/articles/91/1/ENTERTAINMENT:-CD-ReviewMARTY CASEY & LOVEHAMMERS Marty Casey & Loverhamers Epic Records You may recognize the name Marty Casey as the runner-up on the hit reality show Rock Star: INXS. You may also thank INXS members for not choosing the 31-year old Chicago native as their new lead singer. Why you ask? Because then we would not have the luxury of hearing the singer do what he does best with his own band Loverhammers. If you can remember the last time you purchased a CD and loved every, and I do mean EVERY song on the disc, then you will rejoice with the January 24 release of this phenomenon. A true rock album in every aspect; including thought provoking lyrics, cutting edge landscapes of guitar, and finally good solid song structures that pull the listener in and make them an instant fan. Check out the first single Trees which is a surefire modern rock hit. -Jason A Miller ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ www.laopinion.com/entretenimiento/lavibra/?rkey=00060221163309083794This one's in Spanish and is a favorable 4 star review.
